Shifting Focus by Reliability: Geometric Fusion Modulation for Robust RGB-T Detection

The paper introduces PG‑FM, a Prompt‑Guided Feature Modulation method that adapts RGB‑thermal object detectors to the estimated corruption type and severity of each modality. Unlike restoration‑based approaches, PG‑FM performs per‑input adaptation without significant latency and maintains clean‑set performance while boosting mAP50 by up to 20.8 points on FLIR and 19.9 points on KAIST under simulated corruptions. The method also transfers effectively to unmodified, naturally acquired external RGB‑T datasets without retraining.

RA-SOD: Reliability-Aware RGB-T Salient Object Detection under Modality Degradation

RA‑SOD is a new RGB‑Thermal salient object detection framework that explicitly models the reliability of each modality. It introduces a reliability‑conditioned representation, an uncertainty‑guided dual‑stream refinement, and a pixel‑wise modality competition mechanism to adaptively compensate degraded features and suppress unreliable evidence. Experiments on four benchmarks show that RA‑SOD achieves state‑of‑the‑art performance and remains robust under severe modality degradation.

When Point Clouds Outperform Pixels: Rethinking Zero-Shot Multimodal Anomaly Detection

The paper challenges the common assumption that RGB and point cloud data contribute equally to zero‑shot multimodal anomaly detection. It shows that point clouds are more reliable under category shift and introduces WOOPS, a framework that enhances point cloud features with a Multi‑view Information Decoupling module and calibrates modality contributions via a Modality Reliability Calibration module. Experiments demonstrate that WOOPS achieves top performance on new stringent metrics in both unimodal and multimodal settings, and that point cloud information also benefits RGB‑only inference.

CF-YOLO: Context-Aware Feature Refinement for Camouflaged Industrial Micro-Defect Detection

CF-YOLO introduces a real‑time detection framework for camouflaged micro‑defects on industrial components, combining a Context‑Perception Aggregation Module (CPAM) that fuses large‑kernel macro‑texture cues with small‑kernel boundary details, and a Feature Additive Refinement Module (FARM) that globally refines fine‑grained anomaly representations. The authors also release the Copper Tube Defect Dataset (CTDD), a benchmark of 1,847 images with 4,898 annotated defect boxes. Experiments show CF‑YOLO outperforms baseline detectors such as YOLOv11 by 2.2% in mAP@50 and 3.9% in Precision while preserving real‑time speed.

Provisioning Robust and Efficient LiDAR Perception for Autonomous Driving

The paper presents a method for creating LiDAR-based 3D object detectors that remain accurate under point‑cloud corruptions while meeting strict latency and memory constraints. It achieves robustness by generating corrupted samples that mimic extreme weather and training detectors to focus on hard samples, guided by perturbation sensitivity estimated from an ensemble of seven heterogeneous detectors. Efficiency is improved by narrowing the network and using offline neighborhood‑density measurements to reduce the number of points processed at each sampling stage, resulting in significant gains in AP under corruption and reductions in inference latency and GPU memory usage across multiple datasets and detector architectures.
