Terms of service

These terms govern your use of The Flow (the “service”), operated by not yet configured. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

What the service is

The Flow is a news aggregator. It reads publicly published RSS and Atom feeds from research and engineering sources, stores the headline, a short description, the author, the publication date and a link to the original, and presents them in a searchable feed. Each story page shows a machine-generated summary and a link to the original publication. We do not host, republish or claim ownership of the articles themselves; the copyright in each remains with its publisher.

Machine-generated summaries

Summaries and the “why it matters” line on story pages are generated by a language model from the publisher's headline and feed description. They are labelled as such wherever they appear. They are produced without human review and may be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Read the original before relying on anything.

Accounts

• You must give a working email address and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You may close your account at any time from your account page, which deletes it and everything attached to it.
• We may suspend or close an account that is used to attack, overload or abuse the service, or to break these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape the service at a rate that degrades it for others;
• republish our summaries wholesale as if they were your own editorial product;
• attempt to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
• use the service to break the law.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee of availability, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. It is run by one person on modest infrastructure. Features may change or be withdrawn, and a source may disappear when a publisher retires their feed.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including decisions taken on the basis of a summary. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
