As AI systems increasingly assist humans in physical tasks, ensuring safety becomes paramount -- physical actions carry immediate and irreversible consequences that digital errors do not. We introduce the Vision-Language Embodied Safety Agent (VLESA), a framework that monitors human activities from egocentric video and triggers real-time safety interventions when dangerous actions are predicted.
Building memory is essential for long-horizon planning in zero-shot embodied navigation. Detector-centric scene graphs often compress observations into sparse nodes, discarding fine-grained visual evidence and accumulating noise, while 3D reconstruction-based methods remain computationally prohibitive.
While Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) demonstrates strong performance in stationary settings, we show that its standard optimization paradigm struggles in continual and non-stationary environments. The failure does not stem from insufficient model capacity or overly restrictive clipping.
As autonomous vehicle capabilities advance, the safe evaluation of driving policies in long-tail scenarios remains a critical bottleneck. In closed-loop simulation, the driving policy model actively interacts with the environment, where its actions dynamically update the simulator state and directly influence the next set of generated sensor observations.
