VideoGen Model 1: Prompt Expansion Versus Formatting in Audiovisual Generation

The study evaluates VideoGen Model 1, a post‑trained version of MiniMax H3, by comparing raw, reformatted, and expanded prompts across 30 audiovisual generation tasks. Creative prompt expansion yielded higher overall quality scores than formatting alone, with a 0.63‑point increase under VA‑Judger and a 0.15‑point increase under Gemini 3.8 Flash, while prompt‑alignment scores rose by 0.97 and 0.50 points respectively. Audio quality improved notably with VA‑Judger, whereas visual quality remained largely unchanged.

PRISM-Bench: An Audio-Centric Diagnostic Benchmark for Text-to-Audio-Video Generation

PRISM‑Bench is an audio‑centric diagnostic benchmark for text‑to‑audio‑video generation, built from 900 human‑verified samples. It evaluates audio along two axes—audio type (speech, music, sound) and sound‑source visibility (on‑screen vs. off‑screen)—across four perceptual dimensions (audio‑visual coherence, audio quality, audio expressiveness, and prompt following) using 35 fine‑grained criteria. The benchmark employs an enhanced MLLM‑as‑a‑Judge protocol that aligns strongly with human raters, revealing a performance gap between frontier and open‑source T2AV models and highlighting overfitting to perceptual fidelity while struggling with complex grounding and control tasks, especially for music and synchronized on‑screen audio.

CAST-Bench: Tracing Every Sound to Its Source in Multi-Shot Audio-Video Generation

CAST-Bench is a new benchmark for multi-shot audio‑video generation that traces each generated sound back to its intended source. It contains 900 prompts across nine sound‑source categories, including both single‑shot and multi‑shot narratives, and evaluates models using 18 metrics grouped into Visual Performance, Content Consistency, and Audio & Semantic Alignment. The benchmark reveals that while visual quality is largely saturated, audio semantic scores vary significantly, and multi‑shot prompts expose challenges such as consistent speaker identity and cross‑shot event retention.

Evaluating Prompt Robustness in Text-to-Audio Systems for Adaptive Virtual Agents and Game Soundtracks

The paper evaluates how robust three text‑to‑audio models—MusicGen‑small, MusicGen‑large, and Stable Audio 2.5—are to small changes in prompts that could affect adaptive game soundtracks. Using metrics such as log‑Mel distance, MFCC/chroma‑DTW, and CLAP similarity, the study finds that Stable Audio 2.5 consistently yields the lowest acoustic distances and highest CLAP similarity when prompts are structurally rephrased, while MusicGen‑large performs best under lexical substitutions and intensity shifts. The authors also observe that Stable Audio 2.5 shows the greatest variation in prompt‑to‑audio alignment across different random seeds, highlighting the need for multi‑seed robustness testing in game audio applications.

WanPE: Towards Cinematic Prompt Enhancement for Modern Text-to-Video Generation

WanPE is a 397‑B parameter prompt‑enhancement model that learns director‑level cinematic planning from 1.05 M real‑world videos. It generates shot‑level cinematic plans through video‑grounded reverse construction and uses Semantic‑Consistency GRPO (SC‑GRPO) to maintain user intent across shots and time. In evaluations, WanPE improves human preference over raw prompts by up to 50.86 points for 30‑second videos and outperforms commercial offerings for shorter durations.

Towards Unified Evaluation of Prompt Enhancers for Video Generation

The paper introduces PEBench, a unified benchmark for evaluating prompt enhancers (PEs) in video generation across text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-to-video tasks. It contains 1,100 expert-verified cases, 1,005 visual assets, and 35 fine-grained tasks, and employs a fact-extraction and rubric-based assessment framework covering 24 criteria. Evaluation of various PE methods shows a trend toward intent-preserving cinematic planning, with certain methods excelling in coverage or coherence, and human validation confirms that PEBench scores align with expert judgments and downstream video quality.

From Visual Cues to Spoken Narration: Rethinking Audio Description

The paper introduces Cue2Narrate, a two‑stage pipeline that jointly predicts what visual events to narrate and when to insert the narration in long, untrimmed movie clips. It uses a dual‑head audio‑visual localizer to identify visual cue and narration windows, followed by a LoRA‑adapted vision‑language model that generates concise audio descriptions, trained with a Description Ranking Loss. The authors also present the LongLSMDC benchmark, comprising up to 8‑minute clips, and show that Cue2Narrate outperforms video‑only and audio‑only baselines by 5–12 points in average mAP and improves AD generation over fine‑tuned base VLMs.
