arXiv:2608. 09233v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Flow-matching models are now a mainstream method to image generation, but its adaptation to diverse downstream scenarios typically relies on post-training, which may cause conflicts among task-specific optimization objectives.

Reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) for 3D generation is now established across a number of works, but most existing pipelines optimise explicit surface representations, often by converting radiance fields into meshes and training heavily on surface-supervised data. We instead fine-tune a pretrained 3D-aware generative model directly from a learned reward over radiance-field density ($σ$) values, with no externally supplied mesh or shape prior.

The paper introduces a framework for instruction‑guided 3D editing that does not require paired 3D supervision. It distills visual, semantic, and geometric knowledge from foundation models into a 3D editing model using a differentiable rendering pipeline, guided by a 2D visual prior from an image editing model and a semantic prior from a Vision‑Language Model. A 3D‑aware Distribution Matching regularization is added to prevent geometric collapse and ensure realistic 3D outputs, leading to superior instruction fidelity and cross‑view consistency compared to state‑of‑the‑art baselines.

Consistency distillation has significantly accelerated the inference of diffusion models. In this work, we reveal an intriguing asymmetry: while Logit-Normal sampling priors are highly efficacious for standard iterative generation, consistency distillation exhibits a distinctly different difficulty profile (e.
PoseDreamer is a new pipeline that uses diffusion models to generate large‑scale synthetic datasets for 3D human mesh estimation, providing 3D mesh annotations that remain aligned with the generated images. The system incorporates controllable image generation, Direct Preference Optimization for control alignment, curriculum‑based hard sample mining, and multi‑stage quality filtering to produce over 500,000 high‑quality samples with a 76% improvement in image‑quality metrics over traditional rendering‑based datasets. Models trained on PoseDreamer match or surpass those trained on real‑world or conventional synthetic data, and combining PoseDreamer with synthetic datasets yields better performance than mixing real and synthetic data alone.

The paper introduces Reflection-Aware GRPO (RA‑GRPO), a reinforcement‑learning framework that aligns diffusion generative models with human preferences. It uses Diffusion Reflection to correct intermediate sampling paths by reversing the diffusion process, and Counterfactual Path Synthesis to embed these corrected trajectories into the policy, avoiding extra inference cost. Experiments on text‑to‑image and text‑to‑video models show RA‑GRPO outperforms existing methods, reducing reward hacking and improving generalization while remaining architecture‑agnostic.

CAST introduces a reinforcement‑learning fine‑tuning framework for diffusion models that addresses three key limitations: it automatically selects the denoising window based on each model’s trajectory, decomposes prompts into verifiable semantic atoms via Causal Scene Graphs, and applies atom‑level rewards spatially weighted in the policy objective. The method is applied to FLUX.2‑dev and Qwen‑Image‑2512, yielding up to 3.07× improvement on the hardest GenEval 2 prompts compared with Flow‑GRPO while also enhancing overall generation quality.
