AtlasPatch is a scalable, high‑throughput whole‑slide image preprocessing method that uses a foundation‑model‑based tissue detector operating at thumbnail resolution. By updating only 0.076% of the SAM2 model weights and leveraging a curated dataset of 30,000 thumbnail‑mask pairs, it generates accurate tissue masks and directly produces patch coordinates at the desired magnification, eliminating repeated patch‑level inference. The approach achieves 0.986 precision, is up to 16× faster than existing deep‑learning methods, and maintains downstream multiple‑instance learning performance across six slide‑level classification tasks.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC) grading is essential for treatment planning, yet existing approaches either analyze patch-level images directly or focus solely on nuclei-level classification,...
The paper introduces RABR-Net, a two‑stage framework that refines biomedical image segmentation boundaries by combining multiple uncertainty measures into a boundary‑aware representation. A gated residual refiner uses this representation to selectively correct uncertain boundary pixels while preserving confident regions, leading to modest but statistically significant improvements in Dice, Boundary Dice, and HD95 metrics on a held‑out test set. Qualitative results show the refiner focuses on uncertain cytoplasm and nucleus boundaries, though calibration does not automatically improve.

The paper introduces a semantic‑guided multimodal preprocessing technique that fuses nuclei classification maps with RGB histopathology images for Vision Transformer‑based grading of clear cell renal cell carcinoma. By concatenating classification map channels and applying multiplicative modulation, the method achieves a balanced accuracy of 0.916, markedly surpassing an RGB‑only baseline (0.707) and prior max‑voting approaches (0.427). Sensitivity analysis shows the 21‑percentage‑point improvement remains robust under simulated perturbations matching current nuclei classifier error rates, indicating effective use of imperfect nuclear‑level information.
