Geometry-Guided Generative Representation for Functional Brain Graphs

arXiv:2511. 04539v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: In network neuroscience, functional brain systems are often characterized using separate yet related graph-theoretic or spectral descriptors, overlooking how these properties covary and partially overlap across individuals and conditions.

Reservoir-Based Graph Convolutional Networks

The paper introduces RGC‑Net, a Reservoir‑Based Graph Convolutional Network that combines fixed‑random reservoir dynamics with a structured convolutional framework for graph learning. It addresses limitations of existing reservoir‑based GNNs by adding a leaky integrator for better feature retention and a robust, adaptable architecture for graph classification and generation. Experiments demonstrate state‑of‑the‑art performance on classification and generative tasks, including dynamic brain connectivity, with faster convergence and reduced over‑smoothing.

Latent graph encoding of multimodal neuroimaging features with generative AI architectures

arXiv:2607. 07027v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: While generative models enable encoding of complex neuroimaging data for feature generation and reconstruction, developing optimal architectural frameworks with appropriate encoding and latent space processes is crucial for studying structural and functional properties of the brain.

Walking the Score Manifold: Continuous-time Generative Dynamics on Learned Data Manifolds

The paper proposes a continuous‑time generative framework that models time‑dependent data as evolution on a learned data manifold. By using pretrained score‑based models as geometric priors, it learns a vector field that drives data along score‑induced interpolation paths, enabling generation at arbitrary timestamps and temporal super‑resolution. The method includes a regression‑based training objective, a stability‑promoting term interpreted as denoising score matching, and a probabilistic extension for future trajectory distributions, demonstrated on natural video, PDE‑based fields, and molecular dynamics.

Learning the Brain's Dynamics as a Port-Hamiltonian System: A GNN-Surrogate Metriplectic Twin for Non-Equilibrium Cortical Dynamics and Closed-Loop Neuromodulation

arXiv:2607. 10439v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: We model human motor cortex, recorded during rest and motor-imagery BCI conditions, as a port-Hamiltonian system: a conservative interconnection (skew-symmetric coupling between band-limited neural phasors) together with a dissipative port whose state-dependent decay is set by a graph-neural-network surrogate.

Progression as Latent Drift: Generative Forecasting of Slow-Evolving Pathologies

The paper introduces Latent Drift, a generative forecasting framework that predicts slow-evolving neurodegenerative disease progression by learning changes in a compressed semantic representation rather than full-resolution anatomy. It addresses two failure modes—identity collapse and continuous interpolation trap—by removing pixel-level identity from the prediction target and applying Finite Scalar Quantization to suppress high-frequency nuisance fluctuations. Experiments on longitudinal 3D brain MRI demonstrate that Latent Drift outperforms diffusion and autoregressive transformer baselines in both generative fidelity and clinically relevant metrics.
