Anchor3R: Streaming 3D Reconstruction with Transient Anchors for Long-Horizon Visual Mapping

Anchor3R is a streaming 3D reconstruction framework that predicts window-relative poses and local geometry in the current‑frame coordinate system, forming a dense relative‑pose graph for online pose updates and loop‑aware motion averaging. It improves long‑horizon pose accuracy and dense reconstruction quality on indoor, outdoor, driving, and RGB‑D benchmarks, and generalizes from 48‑frame training sequences to streams exceeding 10,000 frames while keeping GPU memory bounded. The method addresses issues of train‑test mismatch, early‑anchor bias, and accumulated drift found in previous streaming models.

Self-Geometry: GT-Free and Plug-and-Play Test-Time Adaptation for Geometrically Consistent 3D Vision Foundation Models

The paper introduces Self-Geometry, a plug‑and‑play test‑time adaptation framework that enforces explicit multi‑view geometric constraints on Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) using 2D pixel correspondences as pseudo ground truth. It combines Geometric Disentanglement Optimization—mixing Multi‑View and Epipolar Consistency losses with Gradient Disentanglement—to avoid gradient conflicts, a Frame Angular‑Neighbor sampler based on SO(3) geodesic distances to select informative views, and a Lightweight TTA module that adapts VFMs via LoRA. Experiments on six VFMs and four benchmarks (7Scenes, ETH3D, ScanNet++, HiRoom) show consistent improvements in pose and geometry estimation.

GeoFF3D: Coordinate-Anchored Feed-Forward Reconstruction for Large-Scale UAV Mapping

GeoFF3D is a new feed‑forward 3D reconstruction method designed for large‑scale UAV mapping. It uses a coordinate‑anchored model that predicts camera poses and dense point maps directly in a gravity‑aligned Z‑up metric frame, while a spatial large‑scale reconstruction framework (SLRF) partitions images into overlapping chunks, propagates shared‑view priors, and aggregates local reconstructions hierarchically. Across nine aerial mapping blocks, GeoFF3D achieves the best average reconstruction quality, improving F@5 from 0.829 to 0.877, and can reconstruct 2,000 images in about five minutes.

ARC-Loc: Leveraging Azimuthal Ray Convergence as a Geometric Cue for Direct Cross-View Localization

ARC‑Loc introduces a new cross‑view localization method that bypasses heavy Bird’s‑Eye‑View transformations and external depth models. By converting ground keypoints into azimuthal rays on a satellite map and exploiting their convergence at the user’s location, the approach uses a minimal Azimuthal Ray Convergence solver and an ARC loss to directly match ground and satellite images. Experiments on VIGOR and KITTI show that ARC‑Loc achieves competitive accuracy while offering faster, memory‑efficient inference and easy integration with existing frameworks.

Visual Relocalization from Sparse Views in Aliased and Low-Texture Environments via Novel View Synthesis

Visual localization becomes extremely challenging in planetary-like terrains characterized by low texture, perceptual aliasing, harsh illumination, and sparse, weakly overlapping viewpoints induced by forward rover motion and unconstrained driving directions. Under these conditions, state-of-the-art image-to-image and image-to-map matching pipelines suffer significant performance degradation.

TAPVid-MV: A Benchmark for Tracking Any Point in 3D Across Multiple Views

TAPVid-MV is a new benchmark for tracking any point in 3D across multiple synchronized camera views. It comprises 284 sequences, 1,142 calibrated camera streams, and 109,769 point tracks, covering indoor and outdoor domains and derived from various modalities such as depth, LiDAR, SLAM, and simulation. The dataset is visually verified, and evaluation shows that current multi‑view trackers do not consistently outperform monocular trackers, highlighting geometry recovery as a key bottleneck.
