Gym-Anything-RT: Scaling Real-Time Environments for Vision-Language Agents

Gym-Anything-RT is a new benchmark that creates 100 real‑time visual minigames to test vision‑language AI agents’ ability to perceive and act while the environment evolves. The framework automatically generates these environments from a taxonomy of six real‑time interaction capabilities and allows controlled experiments by pausing or slowing the game. Evaluation shows a stark gap: GPT‑6 Astra passes only 9 % of the real‑time games, but 75 % when the environment is paused, revealing significant limitations in current agents’ real‑time performance.

AgentGarten: Code Worlds for Evolving Agents

AgentGarten is a framework that links simulators and game engines with a shared neural renderer to create real‑time interactive virtual worlds. It uses a pretrained video model adapted to geometry conditions, refined with Adversarial Forcing, to produce realistic visual observations while maintaining consistent state and rules. The system enables agents to learn efficiently—achieving comparable performance in only four training rounds versus millions in traditional reinforcement learning—by distilling experience into playbooks that successive agents can inherit and improve upon.

Has GPT-6-Astra Achieved Embodied Intelligence?

The paper evaluates GPT‑6‑Astra’s performance across 12 robotic benchmarks, showing it achieves unprecedented results when using in‑context learning from training‑set demonstrations. It highlights the benefits and costs of a dual‑system architecture (high‑level reasoning and low‑level control) and identifies practical gaps in real‑world deployment, such as expensive demonstration collection and physical constraints. The authors propose a new benchmark prototype that derives tasks from real‑world needs, omits in‑domain demos, and measures agents against a continuously running world clock.

AgentHorizon: Evaluating Agentic Judges for Long-Horizon Computer-Use Tasks

AgentHorizon is a benchmark comprising 1,373 computer‑use tasks with instruction‑trajectory pairs collected from 166 hours of human‑recorded activity across three operating systems. The benchmark uses a paired design that swaps instructions to create negative tasks, testing judges’ ability to distinguish successful trajectories from those that completed a similar but incompatible request. Eleven judges were evaluated, with GPT‑5.5 achieving the highest balanced accuracy of 80.9% on the full trajectory subset, while tool‑use benefits some models but harms others, revealing large variability in judges’ performance.

PlaySuite: A Large-Scale Benchmark for Interactive Visual Intelligence

PlaySuite is a large-scale benchmark that evaluates interactive visual intelligence by using over 5,000 open-source video games from platforms like PyWeek and itch.io. The benchmark covers diverse game engines (Pygame, HTML5, Godot, Unity) and introduces a unified closed-loop interaction framework and a Video-LLM-as-a-judge protocol to standardize progress measurement. Evaluation of fourteen recent models shows a perception-action gap, with strong reasoning but poor sustained progress, spatial grounding, action execution, and self-correction.
