Visual Information-Guided Parallel Decoding for Diffusion Multimodal Large Language Models introduces the VIG‑Sampler, a method that prioritizes tokens for decoding based on their attention to image tokens and penalizes redundancy in image‑attention distributions. The approach aims to improve the quality of multimodal generation by selecting more informative tokens during diffusion decoding. Experiments on seven captioning and VQA benchmarks with three open‑source dMLLMs show that VIG‑Sampler outperforms the Info‑Gain Sampler by an average of 19.3 CIDEr points and achieves better COCO Caption results using only half as many decoding steps.

Recent advances in diffusion models and Transformer architectures have led to significant progress in text-to-video generation. However, these models often suffer from semantic errors such as missing...

The paper investigates how long, richly detailed prompts cause modern text-to-image models to lose diversity, even when many visual aspects are unspecified. It introduces PromptMoG, a training‑free method that samples prompt embeddings from a Mixture‑of‑Gaussians distribution to restore diversity while preserving semantic fidelity. The authors also present LPD‑Bench, a benchmark for evaluating fidelity and diversity under long, semantically dense prompts, and demonstrate PromptMoG’s effectiveness on four large diffusion models.

UniEvo‑VL is a self‑evolving framework that lets multimodal models improve themselves by using their own critiques as privileged information. The method trains a single model to act as both teacher and student, minimizing divergence between their diffusion distributions over sampling trajectories. Experiments on Qwen‑image‑2512 show significant gains in image generation metrics, and stronger external critics further raise the improvement ceiling, though results vary across tasks.

Modern multimodal models bring generation and understanding into a single unified system, which enables them to provide and learn from their own feedback. Motivated by this unified capacity, we introd...
The paper introduces Reflection-Aware GRPO (RA‑GRPO), a reinforcement‑learning framework that aligns diffusion generative models with human preferences. It uses Diffusion Reflection to correct intermediate sampling paths by reversing the diffusion process, and Counterfactual Path Synthesis to embed these corrected trajectories into the policy, avoiding extra inference cost. Experiments on text‑to‑image and text‑to‑video models show RA‑GRPO outperforms existing methods, reducing reward hacking and improving generalization while remaining architecture‑agnostic.

The paper surveys multimodal speculative decoding, examining whether diffusion-based block‑parallel generative drafting—successful in text‑only LLMs—can be applied to Vision‑Language, Video‑Language, Audio, and Vision‑Language‑Action models. It introduces a taxonomy separating drafter‑side parallelism from other design choices, and presents an empirical comparison across benchmarks such as OCR, VQA, visual reasoning, and image captioning. The study highlights current limitations, outlines open challenges, and suggests future research directions for multimodal speculative decoding.
