arXiv:2606. 24477v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Video large language models (LLMs) are often constrained by computation and memory budgets, leading them to use reduced frame rates and spatial resolutions, which may cause them to miss critical information for question answering (QA).
arXiv:2602. 13602v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: We present \revise (\underline{Re}asoning with \underline{Vi}deo \underline{S}parsity), a multi-round agent for video question answering (VQA).
arXiv:2606. 11209v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Visual question answering increasingly requires multi-step reasoning.
GFlowPO introduces a probabilistic framework for optimizing language model prompts by treating prompt search as posterior inference over latent prompts, regularized by a meta-prompted reference-LM prior. The method first fine‑tunes a lightweight prompt‑LM using an off‑policy Generative Flow Network objective that reuses past prompt evaluations for sample‑efficient exploration. It then applies a training‑free Dynamic Memory Update to refine the meta‑prompt with diverse and top‑performing prompts, leading to consistent improvements over recent discrete prompt optimization baselines on few‑shot classification, instruction induction, and question‑answering tasks.
The paper introduces a new protocol, Mistake Detection Video Question Answering (MD‑VQA), to evaluate whether models can determine if a step in a video follows its description, covering both seen and unseen actions. It proposes a post‑training approach for video‑language models that uses a reward function to highlight discrepancies between instructions and video content. Experiments show this method surpasses zero‑shot, fine‑tuned, and other post‑training baselines, especially on unseen procedures, improving performance by up to 11.6% on EP‑VQA.
