The paper introduces a framework that separates physical modeling from execution in physics reasoning tasks. It uses a two‑stage post‑training approach: supervised fine‑tuning to build structured models and reinforcement learning with rubric‑based feedback to refine them. Experiments on PhysReason, PhyX, and SeePhys show that this explicit modeling improves reasoning performance by about 3% on average for small LLMs.

The paper introduces Continual Uncertainty Learning (CUL), a curriculum-based continual learning framework that decomposes robust control of nonlinear systems with multiple heterogeneous uncertainties into a sequence of tasks. By progressively expanding and diversifying plant uncertainties and applying memory-efficient anti-forgetting regularization, CUL enables a policy to acquire strategies for each uncertainty sequentially while a model-based controller provides a shared baseline performance. Applied to an active vibration controller for automotive powertrains, the approach demonstrates robustness to structural nonlinearities and dynamic variations, improving control performance and sample efficiency.

AgentMercury is a scalable framework that synthesizes executable environments from high‑level business scenarios instead of task‑specific benchmarks. It creates a persistent world with entities, services, tools, and invariants, allowing diverse tasks and interaction trajectories to emerge naturally. The authors generated 4,783 environments across 14 industries and 50 countries, and training reinforcement‑learning agents on them improved performance on enterprise workflows and out‑of‑domain benchmarks, while the construction process itself can be learned to increase authoring success.
