Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have made significant progress in visual understanding, but precise 3D spatial reasoning integrated with physical environment remains difficult. Furniture asse...
Recent vision-language models (VLMs) show strong capabilities in robotic perception and spatial reasoning, yet their ability to reason about complex mechanical assemblies remains underexplored. We int...

Current work on robot furniture assembly mostly focuses on toy-scale settings or single-arm manipulation. We introduce FurnitureVLA, the first systematic study of real-scale bimanual furniture assembly using Vision-Language-Action models (VLAs).
arXiv:2607. 00491v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Benchmarks for vision-language models (VLMs) mostly test observational spatial reasoning: models describe relations already visible in the input.

AnyBox is a zero‑shot framework that estimates the full 9DoF pose (6D pose plus 3D dimensions) of boxes from a single RGB‑D image, leveraging the geometric regularity of boxes. It alternates between pose and scale estimation, using a binary search guided by the discrepancy between a reprojected template and the observed mask, and employs a depth‑consistency filter and an early‑stopping rule to prune implausible hypotheses. On public benchmarks and a warehouse dataset, AnyBox improves detection AP by up to 36 points and boosts robotic box‑shelving success by 28%.
