NavGen: Visual Generative Models as a Scalable Data Engine for Embodied 3D Navigation

NavGen introduces a text-to-video data generation pipeline that creates about 400K vision‑language navigation episodes for both indoor and outdoor scenes, using high‑fidelity visual generative models. The approach includes a style‑diversification method to scale up rare, hard‑to‑collect data. Models trained on NavGen data outperform those trained on existing UAV navigation datasets and achieve a 75% success rate in real‑world flying experiments.

LangMap: A Human-Verified Benchmark for Hierarchical Open-Vocabulary Goal Navigation

LangMap introduces a human‑verified benchmark for language‑conditioned goal navigation (LGN) that spans four hierarchical semantic levels—scene, room, region, and instance—within real‑world indoor 3D scans. The dataset, built on HM3D, contains 18K tasks with concise and detailed descriptions for 414 object categories, and its contrastive annotation protocol ensures high‑quality, discriminative region and instance labels. Evaluation shows that LangMap’s descriptions improve text‑to‑view matching accuracy by 23 points over GOAT‑Bench and achieve a 92.5% unique‑and‑correct match rate in an independent human audit, while a proposed RGB‑only baseline, PlaNaVid, attains top‑tier success rates without depth or 3D scene representations.

Privacy-Preserving Semantic Segmentation from High-Resolution Depth and Ultra-Low-Resolution RGB

The paper introduces a privacy‑preserving approach for semantic segmentation that fuses high‑resolution depth with ultra‑low‑resolution RGB images. A joint 2D framework uses depth to guide RGB reconstruction and RGB‑D segmentation, while an end‑to‑end 2D‑to‑3D pipeline consolidates 2D features for 3D segmentation. Experiments on ScanNet demonstrate superior 2D and 3D performance compared to other privacy‑preserving methods, strong zero‑shot transfer to SUN RGB‑D and SceneNN, and reduced recoverability of sensitive data, with real‑robot tests showing effective object‑goal navigation.

NeuroSymbEAD: A Large Scale Neuro-Symbolic Caption Dataset for Omni-Directional Embodied Autonomous Driving

NeuroSymbEAD is a large‑scale neuro‑symbolic caption dataset that builds an ego‑centric knowledge graph of static and dynamic objects on the KITTI‑360 dataset, annotating classes, categories, heading directions, orientations, and distances from the ego‑vehicle. The dataset generates multilevel textual captions that serve as a lightweight representation of an ego‑centric scene map, enabling outdoor scene‑map reconstruction, visual recognition, and object grounding. Baselines for driving common sense and traffic/scene understanding are established, and the dataset is benchmarked using pre‑trained grounding and learned auto‑regressive captioning networks to support vision‑language and foundation models for traffic‑scene explanation, 3D reasoning, and interpretable autonomous‑driving perception.
