PetriBench is a compact, fully self‑contained, and scalable benchmark that evaluates large language model (LLM) reasoning over dynamic state spaces using Petri nets. It organizes reasoning into four task families with Easy, Medium, and Hard levels, each generated by increasing structural complexity and evaluated against exact ground truth. Experiments across proprietary and open‑weight models show that accuracy consistently drops with difficulty, revealing distinct task‑specific capability profiles, while test‑time compute and procedural generation affect performance differently across tasks.

LoongSage is a lightweight, fully asynchronous reinforcement learning framework designed for large language models that perform agentic tasks. It integrates with Megatron for distributed training and SGLang for high‑throughput inference, centralizing orchestration in a single controller and using Ray actors for GPU components. The framework introduces AgentFlow for unified execution of white‑box and black‑box agents, sliding‑window strategies to limit trajectory staleness, TransferMesh for efficient weight synchronization, and a memory‑efficient Teacher Manager that supports multi‑teacher on‑policy distillation. Experiments across four training runs show steady reward improvement, controlled train‑inference gaps, and sustained hardware utilization by eliminating synchronous idle periods.

FlexEE is an early‑exiting framework designed for large language model inference that is constrained by computation and memory, particularly in offloading‑based deployments. It uses layer‑wise exit supervision, self‑speculative decoding over a Top‑K local vocabulary, and dynamic hidden‑state management to enable reliable intermediate‑layer predictions and memory‑aware execution. Experiments on Llama2‑7B and Llama3‑8B show that FlexEE achieves significant speedups—up to 1.27×/3.16× and 1.25×/2.83× respectively—while maintaining minimal accuracy loss.

The paper introduces JAZ, a minimalist LLM agent framework that centers on a single primitive called “invoke”, which allows an LLM to write and execute arbitrary code, including recursive calls, while treating all inputs and interaction history as variables in the code environment. JAZ provides built‑in hooks for constraints and monitoring but relies solely on prompting, without external tools, memory systems, or file‑system access. Experiments show that JAZ “invoke” outperforms specialized external harnesses such as Letta (MemGPT) and ACE on long‑horizon recall tasks and continual self‑improvement, achieving higher accuracy at lower cost.

The paper introduces Tool Primitives, a design that replaces rigid API schemas with natural language interfaces for tool calling, enabling seamless inter-tool communication. It builds ToolFace, a repository of over 25,000 functions that LLMs can dynamically retrieve, and HEART, a harness engineering framework that orchestrates tool use with planning, routing, and verification. Experiments show HEART outperforms fine‑tuned models and leading commercial LLMs while cutting API costs by up to 85%.
