Field-of-View Extension in Dental Cone-Beam CT via Implicit Neural Representations and Diffusion Model-Based Refinement

The paper presents a three‑stage framework to extend the field of view in dental cone‑beam CT scans that are limited by truncated detector configurations. First, an implicit neural representation estimates missing projection data; second, an iterative reconstruction generates a secondary volumetric image with better anatomical consistency; third, a fast diffusion model refines the image for enhanced quality. Experiments show reduced truncation artifacts and improved reconstruction of structures beyond the original field of view.

Conditional Diffusion Posterior Alignment for Sparse-View CT Reconstruction

The paper introduces Conditional Diffusion Posterior Alignment (CDPA), a method that scales diffusion-based sparse‑view CT reconstruction to large 3D volumes by conditioning a 2D U‑Net diffusion model on an initial 3D reconstruction and enforcing data‑consistency alignment. CDPA addresses high memory demands, limited 3D training data, and slice‑wise inconsistencies, achieving state‑of‑the‑art performance on synthetic and real Cone Beam CT data. The authors also demonstrate that the same approach improves fast denoising U‑Nets, delivering near‑diffusion quality at a fraction of the computational cost.

Learning Where and What to Lift for Bi-planar X-ray-to-CT Reconstruction

The paper introduces LiftXR, a geometry‑guided framework that first reconstructs a 3D anatomical layout from bi‑planar X‑ray images and then uses this layout to guide CT volume reconstruction. An anatomical parser refines the layout by analyzing the reconstructed CT, enabling region‑specific intensity calibration. Experiments on two public datasets show LiftXR surpasses recent X‑ray‑to‑CT methods and improves downstream segmentation performance.

GenDiff: A Dose and Anatomy Aware Diffusion Model with Structural Prior Refinement for Low-Dose CT Reconstruction and Generalization

Efficient 3D Whole-Body PET Image Denoising via Conditional Rectified Flow With Optimized Sampling Strategy

The paper introduces a one‑pass conditional 3D rectified flow (3D Flow) framework for denoising whole‑body PET images, employing an optimized non‑uniform sampling strategy and a linear‑interpolant velocity‑matching objective. It reconstructs a full 3D volume in about 30 seconds, dramatically faster than multi‑hour 3D diffusion models, while maintaining high global image quality and lesion conspicuity even at ultra‑low doses (down to 1/100 of standard). Zero‑shot transfer tests on independent clinical data demonstrate robust performance across datasets and unseen dose levels.

Physics-Guided Flow Matching for CT Image Reconstruction

The paper introduces a high‑resolution Rectified Flow Matching model trained on 256×256 chest CT images to serve as a generative prior for CT reconstruction. A two‑stage training strategy—initial strong anatomically informed augmentation followed by fine‑tuning—helps mitigate overfitting and improve structural fidelity. When evaluated on various CT inverse problems, Flow Matching‑based reconstruction methods outperform diffusion‑based algorithms in PSNR, SSIM, and perceptual quality while requiring fewer sampling steps.

X-Splat: Gaussian Splatting for 3D CBCT Generation from Single Panoramic Radiograph

Generating a 3D dental volume from a single panoramic radiograph (PXR) could provide a low-radiation alternative to Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), but the problem is highly underdetermined: panoramic acquisition integrates 3D attenuation along curved X-ray paths into a 2D image, leaving depth-resolved anatomy unobserved. Existing implicit and generative approaches often produce oversmoothed geometry or anatomically inconsistent hallucinations, lacking geometry-driven supervision and relying on smooth representations unable to precisely localize sharp anatomical boundaries.

WING: A Window-Prior-Based Generative Network with Gated Inception for Cross-Modality CT Synthesis

Generating CT volumes from MRI and CBCT can improve treatment planning in adaptive radiotherapy while avoiding additional radiation exposure. However, direct regression of CT intensities is challenged by the inherently high dynamic range and long-tailed distributions, thereby averaging out sparse yet clinically important structures.
