DICL-Qwen3VL: Decoupled Confidence Calibration for Interpretable Workwear Detection

DICL-Qwen3VL is a decoupled, interpretable vision‑language model that localizes upper‑body clothing and identifies workwear in indoor construction sites. It uses low‑rank adaptation of Qwen3‑VL, separates visual and reasoning confidence estimates, and employs token entropy and image perturbation sensitivity to supervise visual confidence. Experiments on the Indoor Construction Site Workwear Dataset and the web‑collected Indoor Construction Workwear Dataset achieve mAP@50 scores of 0.730 and 0.753, outperforming baseline VLMs and providing explicit evidence and confidence scores for industrial safety monitoring.

SteelBench: Evaluating Vision-Language Models in Real-World Industrial Environments

Existing video benchmarks evaluate action recognition on consumer videos, egocentric recordings, or simulated industrial environments. They do not test vision-language models under the visual and procedural conditions of real industrial CCTV, where workers appear as distant figures amid dust, steam, low light, glare, occlusion, and overlapping activities.

VisionQ: VLM-as-a-Judge Taxonomy, Dataset and Benchmark for Qualitative Analysis in Computer Vision

VisionQ is a new benchmark for qualitative analysis in computer vision that evaluates vision‑language models (VLMs) on criterion‑conditioned visual discrimination. It is built from over 1,800 peer‑reviewed comparison figures in CVPR and ICCV papers, linking each image crop to author‑stated visual claims through 3,911 hand‑annotated data points. The benchmark includes a 51‑leaf taxonomy of visual criteria, a protocol that hides method identities and reports accuracy per criterion, and a DPO‑tuned Gemma‑4‑E4B judge that improves accuracy on a held‑out test set.

HALDETECT at ImageEval 2026 Shared Tasks: Answer-First Contrastive Grounding with QLoRA

HALDETECT is a system developed for the English hallucination-detection track of ImageEval 2026, where the task is to identify the single visually grounded statement among three culturally plausible options. The approach treats the problem as a contrastive decision, outputs the answer before an explanation, and bases reasoning on colour/texture, shape/form, and context. The best model fine‑tunes Qwen2.5‑VL‑7B‑Instruct with 4‑bit QLoRA, freezes the vision encoder, and achieves a Contrastive Instability score of 0.035 on the test set, placing third among eight teams.

Can VLMs Reliably Assess Sidewalk Accessibility Attributes from Pedestrian-Level Imagery?

The study evaluates whether vision‑language models (VLMs) can reliably assess sidewalk accessibility attributes—effective width, longitudinal slope, cross slope, and pavement condition—from pedestrian‑level images. Using sampling‑based conformal prediction on 514 images from Seoul, the authors find that calibrated models achieve nominal 90% coverage, but only effective width yields informative estimates; other attributes remain too uncertain for compliance assessment. The work also demonstrates that raw sampling dispersion is not a trustworthy uncertainty measure without calibration and releases annotated images with ground‑truth measurements.

TAMF-VTON: Token-Wise Sparse Adaptation for Mask-Free Virtual Try-On

TAMF-VTON is a diffusion-based virtual try‑on system that eliminates the need for segmentation masks, parsing maps, pose representations, or spatial controls during inference. It uses token‑wise sparse Mixture‑of‑Experts adaptation to provide input‑dependent capacity, along with timestep‑weighted frequency supervision and adaptive offline data construction to improve high‑frequency reconstruction and cross‑category training. The method achieves top performance on single‑garment VITON‑HD and DressCode benchmarks, supports multi‑garment transfer, and can generate 1K‑resolution images in under 15 seconds on an RTX 4090.
