We present a Procrustes-conditioned Joint End-to-end Top-K Sparse Autoencoder (SAE) for extracting cross-seed universal features from independently trained BERT models. Cross-seed feature universality is a fundamental challenge in mechanistic interpretability: because dictionary learning is non-convex, independently trained networks learn misaligned feature spaces, so apparently identical features may differ by random initialization.

Zero-shot learning (ZSL) for inertial measurement unit (IMU)-based human activity recognition (HAR) faces a central challenge: bridging the gap between sensor embeddings and semantic class representations. We systematically evaluate seven configurations combining three inference methods with two training pipelines on the PAMAP2 dataset, using 14 seen and 4 unseen activity classes with subjects 108 and 109 held out for testing.
arXiv:2606. 05173v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Masked language modelling (MLM) has been the dominant pre-training objective for text encoders since BERT, yet it encourages representations that are strongly anchored to surface-form token identity rather than deeper semantic structure.

The paper introduces Pattern Stability Score (PSS), a watermark detection framework that uses local statistical features and stability dynamics across paraphrased variants to identify machine-generated text. PSS combines global and local z‑score features with higher‑order run‑length statistics, autocorrelation signals, and stability scores over paraphrase depth. Experiments on PG‑19, CNN/DailyMail, and WikiText with Llama‑3‑8B, Qwen2‑7B, and multiple paraphrasers show that PSS improves detection AUC by 10‑15 percentage points and a single universal classifier achieves over 87.8% AUC across diverse LLMs, paraphrasers, and domains without retraining.
