TDFNet: Tri-projection Deformable Fusion Network for Panoramic Salient Object Detection

TDFNet introduces a Tri-projection Deformable Fusion Network that uses equirectangular, cube map, and tangent projections to mitigate geometric distortions in panoramic salient object detection. It incorporates a cross-projection deformable attention module for geometry-aware sampling and a latitude-guided fusion module that balances ERP and CMP features using spherical latitude priors. The network’s three-branch encoding preserves global continuity, local detail, and boundary precision, improving detection performance over existing projection-based methods.

DepthEvidence: Unifying Metric Depth Prediction and Geometric Reasoning in Multimodal Language Models

DepthEvidence is a 4B multimodal language model that integrates dense metric depth predictions into language generation. It employs a camera‑conditioned decoder to produce full‑resolution depth maps and a dense‑to‑language interface that converts these predictions into object‑aligned geometry tokens. The model is trained with geometric supervision and instruction tuning, and it sets new state‑of‑the‑art results on a Depth‑VQA benchmark and on instance‑level metric depth estimation across nine datasets.

OmniAct3D: Leveraging Foundation Geometry and Evidence-Grounded Reasoning for Panoramic 3D Detection

OmniAct3D is a framework that adapts Vision Foundation Model (VFM) detectors trained on perspective images to equirectangular projection (ERP) panoramic images for 3D detection. It introduces the ERP-Ray Geometry Adapter (ERGA-Ray) to model spherical rays, the Visual-Action Reasoning Chain (VARC) to ground hypotheses in panoramic evidence, and the Appearance-Guided Heading Expert (AGHE) to recover high‑resolution heading cues. The method achieves a 2.96 NDS improvement on Spheriverse and a 24.87 mAP gain on PanoMMOcc, while preserving most of the baseline’s performance across configurations.

Geometry and Gradient-based Partitioning for Panoramic Outdoor Reconstruction

Scaling 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) to large outdoor scenes is costly in both data acquisition and computation. Adopting panoramic images with equirectangular projection (ERP) can reduce capture effort via their full $360^{\circ}$ field of view, yet the resulting omnipresent visibility invalidates existing partitioning strategies that rely on local camera frustums, causing block-wise optimization to degenerate into global training.

GAPrompt++: Multi-Granular Geometry-Aware Point Cloud Prompt for 3D Vision Model

GAPrompt++ is a multi-granular geometry-aware prompting method designed to adapt pre-trained 3D vision models to downstream tasks efficiently. It introduces a Point Shift Prompter for multi-scale geometric feature extraction, a Keypoint Prompter for local geometric saliency, and a Prompt Propagation mechanism to embed these cues throughout the model hierarchy. Experiments demonstrate that GAPrompt++ outperforms other prompting-based PEFT methods and even surpasses full fine-tuning while using less than 2% trainable parameters, and the authors provide two new challenging benchmarks for future research.

GraFT: A Training-Free Framework for Spatial Reasoning in Multimodal Large Language Models via 3D Scene Graphs

GraFT is a training‑free framework that enhances spatial reasoning in multimodal large language models by integrating a compact 3D scene graph (3DSG). It offers deterministic geometry via symbolic tools, allocentric layout through bird’s‑eye‑view rendering, and visual‑attribute grounding using egocentric frames. Experiments on ScanQA and VSI‑Bench show significant performance gains, with CIDEr increasing by 27% and improvements up to 65% over baseline models.
