CogEvol: Towards Efficient and Reliable Learning Environment Generation

Read the original on arXiv AI →

CogEvol is a family of models designed to generate learning environments—structured JSON slides or interactive HTML pages—from course briefs in a single pass. In production, it completes a slide in a median of 17 seconds and an interactive page in 59 seconds, vastly faster than multi‑turn agent scaffolding. The system enforces reliability through a production‑grounded data pipeline that produces over 53,000 verified SFT samples and a hybrid rule‑plus‑VLM reward that guides GRPO‑based reinforcement learning, with a 27B model achieving high quality scores while using far fewer parameters than flagship coding models.

AsyncWebRL: Efficient Asynchronous Reinforcement Learning for Multi-Step Visual Web Agents

arXiv:2606. 05597v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Training vision-language web agents with multi-step RL is compute-intensive, with two dominant forms of inefficiency: idle GPUs in synchronous RL, and trajectories that use more steps and tokens than necessary.

Priming Base Models for Agentic Post-Training: An Open Midtraining Recipe

The paper introduces an open midtraining recipe that primes base models for agentic post‑training, filling a gap between pretraining and full fine‑tuning. It trains on 256K context with hundreds of billions of tokens drawn from natural software‑engineering data and a small share of agentic traces. Applying this midtraining to Nemotron 3.5 Lightning and Super models yields measurable gains on SWE‑bench and DeepSWE benchmarks after identical full SFT, and improves robustness across agent harnesses.
