3L-D: A Low-Light Level Dataset from a Sensor-Agnostic, Alignment-Preserving Acquisition Framework

The paper introduces 3L-Dataset, a physically calibrated low‑light image and video dataset created with a modular, sensor‑agnostic acquisition framework. The test bench reproduces the Midavaine night‑level scale from full moon to overcast moonless night, covering visible to near‑infrared spectra across varied environments while ensuring sub‑pixel alignment across synchronized image sextuplets. The authors evaluate deep‑learning baselines on this dataset, highlighting trade‑offs between reconstruction fidelity, perceptual quality, and inference latency under severe photon starvation.

WildRelight: A Real-World Benchmark and Physics-Guided Adaptation for Single-Image Relighting

WildRelight is the first in-the-wild dataset designed to evaluate single-image relighting models, featuring high-resolution outdoor scenes captured under strictly aligned, temporally varying natural illuminations paired with high-dynamic-range environment maps. The benchmark demonstrates that state-of-the-art models trained on synthetic data suffer severe domain shifts when applied to real-world imagery. Leveraging the dataset’s temporal structure, the authors introduce a physics-guided inference framework combining Diffusion Posterior Sampling with Temporal Sampling-Aware Test-Time Adaptation, enabling synthetic models to self-supervise and align with real-world statistics on-the-fly.

JointLight: Human-Centric Video Relighting with Asynchronous RGB-Irradiance Joint Modeling

JointLight introduces an asynchronous joint-modeling approach for human-centric video relighting, enabling fine-grained illumination control by jointly denoising RGB and irradiance frames during two-stage training. The method employs a domain matching strategy to bridge gaps between synthetic irradiance cues and real irradiance maps, and uses an asynchronous hijacked generation pipeline at inference. A newly created multi-illumination synthetic video dataset with paired irradiance maps supports training, and the model demonstrates strong generalization to real-world scenarios, outperforming prior methods in lighting fidelity and generative quality.

VesperMUSE: Multi-Modal Fusion Vision Transformer for Image Semantic Segmentation Under Diverse Light Conditions

VesperMUSE is a multi‑modal vision transformer that enhances image semantic segmentation under varied lighting by combining physics‑informed low‑light adaptation, thermal‑guided low‑light image enhancement, and surface normal maps. The framework fuses RGB, thermal, and normal features through a modality‑agnostic self‑attention mechanism, enabling robust segmentation without architectural changes for different sensor setups. Extensive tests show that VesperMUSE recovers missing visual cues and achieves state‑of‑the‑art performance in extreme, unstructured environments.

SenseShift6D: Multimodal RGB-D Benchmarking for Robust 6D Pose Estimation across Environment and Sensor Variations

SenseShift6D is a new RGB‑D benchmark that systematically varies 13 RGB exposures, 9 RGB gains, auto‑exposure, 4 depth‑capture modes, and 5 illumination levels for six household objects, producing 795.4k RGB‑D scenes. Experiments show that state‑of‑the‑art pose estimators, even when pretrained on large datasets, exhibit significant performance drops across different sensor and lighting settings, revealing a strong sensitivity to environmental changes. The benchmark also demonstrates that test‑time sensor selection can improve accuracy, but current practical methods offer limited gains, indicating room for research in sensor‑aware adaptation.
