The paper presents a multi‑source Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) AI tutor designed to help non‑native English speaker (NNES) students in computing courses. It can process questions in foreign languages—currently Mandarin—and give bilingual answers, generate glossaries of technical terms, and translate queries. In tests on 91 Piazza posts, the tutor answered 83.52 % correctly, translated 76.92 % of questions, and produced glossaries for 64.47 % of them.

M‑SQE is a post‑retrieval framework that estimates the quality of multilingual agent skills by combining a Theory view (intrinsic quality) and an Action view (task‑grounded utility) into a domain‑conditioned score. It was evaluated on general, tool‑use, and cultural skill‑use domains, showing a task‑success improvement of at least +3.5 points over baselines across three retrievers. The method notably boosts performance for low‑resource languages, raising Hindi by +12.9 pp and Swahili by +5.6 pp, and achieves strong results across six cultural regions, advancing linguistic and cultural equality in agentic skill use.

DeepEdu‑v1 is an AI‑tutoring system tailored for Vietnamese education that addresses data‑sovereignty and local curriculum alignment issues. It uses a long‑context inference engine to reduce retrieval calls and prefill latency by about 35%, and a self‑improving agentic layer that curates verified local knowledge without fine‑tuning. In deployment, DeepEdu achieves nearly twice the speed of standard vLLM serving and raises agentic accuracy from 70.0% to 79.5% on complex tasks, especially in financial reasoning and interactive‑agent benchmarks.

The paper introduces DKL, a method for adding new knowledge to instruction‑tuned language models without compromising their instruction‑following abilities. DKL performs extended pre‑training on a base LLM to embed knowledge, then merges these weights into the instruction‑tuned model, avoiding costly instruction fine‑tuning. Experiments show DKL raises RAG accuracy from 54.17% to 79.26% on retrieval failure cases while using far less training data than previous approaches.

The paper introduces Universal Textual Teaching (UTT), a parameter‑update‑free framework that distills knowledge gaps between a Teacher and Student large language model into a reusable natural‑language artifact called a Primer. UTT identifies representative gap cases, then iteratively refines the Primer through a cycle of student attempts, prompter‑generated teaching instructions, teacher demonstrations, and synthesizer consolidation. Experiments on math (Omni‑MATH‑2) and code generation (KernelBench) show significant accuracy gains, outperforming prompt engineering and parameter‑based knowledge distillation, and the Primer generalizes across different Teacher‑Student pairs.
