Wontopos Tablet 2: Measuring Multilingual and Multimodal Memory Retrieval Without Lexical Matching

MIDR: Enrichment-Augmented Indexing for Multimodal Document Retrieval

MIDR (Multimodal Indexing for Document Retrieval) is a training‑free framework that enriches document indexes by converting rendered pages into verified textual fields with a multimodal LLM, then indexing those fields with BM25F and optionally fusing with dense retrieval. By shifting multimodal reasoning to index time, MIDR enables text‑centric serving while retaining multimodal evidence, achieving a 23.0% relative gain over BM25 on ViDoRe V3 and outperforming ColQwen2.5 on several domains with significantly smaller index memory and lower query latency.

MoganColBERT-TR: A Late-Interaction Multi-Vector Retrieval Model for Turkish

MoganColBERT-TR is a Turkish multi‑vector retrieval model that projects token embeddings from 768 to 128 dimensions and uses MaxSim late interaction for scoring. It builds on the previously trained MoganBERT‑TR encoder, adapting it to the ColBERT objective with a single‑epoch distillation phase using cross‑encoder teacher scores. Evaluated on five Turkish BEIR datasets in a zero‑shot setting, it achieves an overall score of 37.36, outperforming larger models on most datasets.

IndicQE-APE: A Benchmark for Quality Estimation and Automatic Post-Editing for Indic Languages

IndicQE-APE is a consolidated benchmark that unifies quality estimation (QE) and automatic post‑editing (APE) data for nine Indic language pairs, comprising 126,754 instances with multiple aligned labels such as direct assessment, human post‑edit, word‑level OK/BAD tags, and error explanations. The dataset includes a stratified test set across four difficulty axes and supports training and evaluation of six prompted large language models, three COMET metrics, and three APE systems.
