Sim-and-Human Co-training (SimHum) is a method that combines simulation and human demonstration data to train bimanual manipulation policies. It first extracts kinematic priors from simulation and visual priors from human observations, then fine‑tunes on a small real‑robot dataset. With only 80 real‑robot episodes per task, SimHum achieves 62.5% success on out‑of‑distribution scenes across four tabletop tasks, outperforming real‑only training by 53.7% and improving the best single‑source baseline by 35.0% in a matched‑time study.

The paper introduces BRIDGE, an open‑source 88 cm tall humanoid robot designed through a data‑driven morphology‑control co‑design framework that optimizes the robot’s body shape for human‑like movement. A new metric combining kinematic retargeting fidelity and dynamic tracking performance is proposed to evaluate morphological fidelity, and the framework achieves state‑of‑the‑art results compared to existing humanoids such as Bumi, K1, and Toddlerbot. The resulting platform, released with its control policy and supporting materials, demonstrates superior fidelity in capturing human motion, robust balance, and highly dynamic maneuvers.

SynthDemo‑RL introduces a teacher‑student framework that uses an automated teacher to generate successful manipulation trajectories from simulator‑privileged state, which are then distilled into a Vision‑Language‑Action (VLA) student via supervised fine‑tuning. The student is further refined with PPO using binary task‑success rewards. On the LIBERO‑PRO benchmark, SynthDemo‑RL rescues all 27 previously unsolvable tasks and achieves near‑perfect success rates, matching performance that would otherwise require human demonstrations.
