The paper presents lightweight architectures for detecting GAN-generated synthetic faces, comparing a compact Swin Transformer, pre‑trained Swin‑Tiny and Swin‑Small models, and a hybrid EfficientNet‑B0 + Swin Transformer. Using the 140K Real and Fake Faces dataset, the hybrid model achieved 99% accuracy and 99.44% recall on 5,000 test images, outperforming both pure Swin variants and a CNN‑only baseline. The study demonstrates that combining hierarchical CNN features with shifted‑window self‑attention yields an efficient, computationally lightweight detection method.

IDSPACE is a new synthetic document generator designed to aid the evaluation of digital identity verification systems. It uses model‑guided Bayesian optimization to tune generation parameters for visual similarity and prediction consistency, separates user‑defined metadata from low‑level control settings, and supports scanned and mobile‑captured documents. Experiments demonstrate that IDSPACE improves evaluation consistency by 15‑45 % over baselines, boosts training accuracy by up to 9 %, and increases SSIM similarity by 10 %, while providing a dataset of 359,240 synthetic documents across ten European ID types.

The paper introduces FADNet, a face authenticity detector that treats forgery detection as a one‑class classification problem, training only on authentic faces. It uses Evidential Deep Learning to measure uncertainty and a pseudo‑forgery generator to sharpen decision boundaries. Experiments on DF40 and ASFD show FADNet surpasses state‑of‑the‑art methods with 96.63% accuracy and 98.83% precision.

The paper introduces MechScam, a benchmark of 6,614 videos that covers diverse scam mechanisms and non‑scam content, providing evidence‑supported explanations and annotations of scam elements. It also proposes ScamCourt, a debate framework where prosecution and defense debaters argue over verified citations, and a judge decides based on the transcript. Experiments show that current large multimodal language models struggle to differentiate scam videos from similar non‑scam content, while ScamCourt reduces false positives and better resists misleading arguments.
