Physical AI Smart Spaces: A Large-Scale Benchmark for Multi-Camera 3D Perception in Smart Spaces

Physical AI Smart Spaces is the first benchmark that offers large‑scale, multi‑class, multi‑camera 3D perception data for indoor smart spaces. It includes over 280 hours of synchronized 1080p footage from nearly 1,800 cameras in warehouses, hospitals, and retail venues, with automatic annotations for identities, 2D and 3D bounding boxes, camera calibration, and depth. The benchmark spans synthetic generation, appearance augmentation, and real‑world Sim2Real evaluation, and introduces a 3D version of Higher Order Tracking Accuracy (HOTA) for evaluating multi‑class 3D box tracking.

Syn2RealTrack: Bridging the Gap Between Synthetic and Real-World Datasets for Online Multi-View Multi-Target Tracking

Syn2RealTrack addresses the synthetic‑to‑real gap in multi‑camera 3D perception for warehouses by decomposing it into three distinct issues: camera calibration, object shape prior, and known object census. The pipeline corrects lens distortion from images, fuses detections with a visibility‑weighted part‑based descriptor, measures person height directly from calibration, and uses a closed‑world cardinality prior with a causal filter to eliminate phantom boxes. These local remedies allow the system to adapt without retraining a feature extractor, achieving a 3D HOTA of 52.0118% on the AI City Challenge 2026 Track 1.

TAPVid-MV: A Benchmark for Tracking Any Point in 3D Across Multiple Views

TAPVid-MV is a new benchmark for tracking any point in 3D across multiple synchronized camera views. It comprises 284 sequences, 1,142 calibrated camera streams, and 109,769 point tracks, covering indoor and outdoor domains and derived from various modalities such as depth, LiDAR, SLAM, and simulation. The dataset is visually verified, and evaluation shows that current multi‑view trackers do not consistently outperform monocular trackers, highlighting geometry recovery as a key bottleneck.

PIVOT: A Multi-Trajectory Dataset and Testbed for Pose, Intrinsics, and Novel Viewpoint Evaluation in Real-World 3D Reconstruction

PIVOT is a new multi‑trajectory dataset and evaluation framework that captures real‑world scenes with diverse camera paths, preserving both sensor‑derived measured poses and COLMAP‑optimized poses along with calibrated and optimized intrinsics. It defines three benchmark families—seen vs. unseen trajectory generalization, measured vs. optimized pose sensitivity, and calibrated vs. optimized intrinsics sensitivity—and introduces a directed pose‑space Chamfer distance to assess pose coverage. The first version of PIVOT includes five scenes recorded with a DJI Mini 4 Pro and offers an open processing and Nerfstudio‑based evaluation toolchain, revealing a consistent quality gap between held‑out and unseen trajectories and significant sensitivity to pose source and camera intrinsics.

The 10th AI City Challenge

The 10th AI City Challenge, held alongside ECCV 2026, celebrates a decade of benchmarking for intelligent transportation, smart cities, and physical AI. Since its 2017 inception focused on vehicle detection, classification, and tracking, the challenge has expanded into a comprehensive benchmark suite covering multi‑camera perception, multimodal reasoning, synthetic‑to‑real learning, generative forecasting, and privacy‑preserving evaluation. The 2026 edition saw 325 registered teams from 26 countries, with six main tracks—spanning multi‑camera 3D perception, transportation safety captioning and VQA, traffic anomaly reasoning, text‑based person anomaly search, generative traffic video forecasting, and cross‑city object detection—plus two out‑of‑domain leaderboards for fisheye traffic‑violation understanding and pedestrian situated‑intent VQA.
