QuAD: Quantitative Assessment via Distribution-Alignment for Qualitative Data Quality Enabled by a Content-Aware Multi-Agent System

QuAD is a framework that quantitatively assesses the quality of qualitative response datasets before analysis. It compares an intrinsic cluster distribution derived from the responses with an extrinsic, researcher-defined analytical lens based on metadata, using a four‑quadrant assessment that considers lens‑level relations and within‑cluster variation. The method employs a content‑aware multi‑agent system with two‑stage instruction generation and adaptive anchors to improve scoring consistency, and is validated through synthetic experiments and a real‑world social survey case study.

Agent-as-Peer-Debriefer: A Multi-Agent Framework with Perspective-Based Refinement for Qualitative Analysis

The paper introduces Agent-as-Peer-Debriefing, a multi‑agent framework that incorporates peer debriefing into qualitative data analysis with large language models. A Hierarchical Coding Agent generates codes and reflections, which are then refined by three Peer‑Debriefing Agents applying Theory‑Driven, Data‑Driven, or Applied perspectives. Experiments on three datasets show that perspective‑based refinement aligns more closely with human codes than a single‑LLM baseline, and that the choice of perspective offers meaningful trade‑offs.

How AI Coders Discuss, Disagree, and Reach Consensus: Challenges and Opportunities for LLM-Based Qualitative Coding

The paper investigates how large language models (LLMs) can perform multi-coder qualitative coding by independently coding, debating, and reconciling disagreements. It quantifies the effectiveness of this approach across diverse datasets, identifying key factors—such as codebook length, data similarity, and agent disagreement—that influence coding accuracy. The study finds that intense, unresolved debates improve accuracy but that LLMs still lack adaptive responsiveness to context, leading to design recommendations for automated coding systems.

DataSTORM: Deep Research on Large-Scale Databases using Exploratory Data Analysis and Data Storytelling

DataSTORM is an LLM‑based agentic system designed to conduct deep research over large‑scale structured databases and internet sources. It applies principles of Exploratory Data Analysis and Data Storytelling to frame research as a thesis‑driven analytical process, iteratively generating hypotheses, performing quantitative reasoning, and crafting coherent narratives. Evaluations on InsightBench and a new ACLED‑based dataset show that DataSTORM surpasses existing systems, achieving significant improvements in insight‑level recall and summary‑level scores.

ExpertIVS: Sociological Expert Driven Individual Value Simulation in Large Language Models

ExpertIVS is a framework that uses 14 sociological expert agents to interpret World Values Survey responses, reconstructing individual value systems in a coherent, internally consistent manner rather than simply concatenating survey answers. It introduces a multi‑agent debate mechanism to assess LLM alignment with these value profiles during dynamic interactions. Experiments on 480 individuals from 12 countries show a 90.78% value restoration fidelity and a 5.3% improvement in value generalization over baseline methods, while also demonstrating strong personality discriminability and behavioral consistency.

Beyond Factual QA: Mentorship-Oriented Question Answering over Long-Form Multilingual Content

The paper introduces MentorQA, a multilingual dataset and evaluation framework for mentorship-oriented question answering derived from long‑form videos. It contains nearly 9,000 QA pairs across four languages and defines evaluation dimensions such as clarity, alignment, and learning value that extend beyond factual accuracy. Experiments show that Multi‑Agent QA pipelines outperform other architectures, especially on complex topics and low‑resource languages, while automated LLM‑based evaluation shows variable alignment with human judgments.
