SBNO : Schr\"odinger Bridge Neural Operator for the Forward and Inverse Problems under Missing Information

SBNO (Schr"odinger Bridge Neural Operator) is an equation‑free framework that learns conditional operators for both forward and inverse PDE problems using paired data and a diffusion Schr"odinger bridge matching approach. It preserves empirical input‑solution pairing through a mask‑aware endpoint coupling and supports both task directions within a single model. At inference, SBNO generates deterministic reconstructions via a probability‑flow ODE, achieving comparable or superior accuracy on five PDE benchmarks with only 5% observations, while being at least 9.7× faster and using 4.3× less GPU memory than guided‑diffusion baselines.

On the training of physics-informed neural operators for solving parametric partial differential equations

Physics-informed neural operators (PINOs) aim to learn solution operators for partial differential equations by using the governing physics as supervision, rather than relying solely on paired input-output simulation data. By incorporating physical constraints into the training objective, PINOs combine the cross-instance generalization of neural operators with the data efficiency of physics-informed learning.

OCL-PDE: A Generative Framework for PDE Inverse Problems with Observation-Complementary Latents

The paper introduces OCL-PDE, a generative framework for solving partial differential equation (PDE) inverse problems. It uses a learned observation‑complementary latent representation that retains reconstruction‑relevant information and combines it with observations to recover unknown fields. The method, built on a physics‑aware autoencoder and conditional Flow Matching, improves reconstruction accuracy and fine‑detail recovery compared to baseline approaches.
