OneSearch‑VL is a unified multimodal deep research agent that handles single‑image, multi‑image, and video tasks by leveraging a Visually Grounded Evidence Graph (VGEG) to encode dependencies among visual anchors, entity relations, facts, and answer‑producing operations. The VGEG‑based data engine builds and verifies questions, filters expert trajectories, and supports supervised fine‑tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning (RL) with the Evidence‑aware Visual‑Grounded Rubric reward (EVGR). Experiments demonstrate that OneSearch‑VL‑8B outperforms Qwen3‑VL‑8B with tool access by 20.2 and 17.6 percentage points on new multimodal benchmarks, while also achieving significant gains across seven image benchmarks and VideoDR.

Selection-Based Structured Reasoning (SSR) is a framework that replaces free-form reasoning with the selection of pre-specified natural‑language reasoning candidates, allowing multimodal agents to choose from a set of reusable high‑level reasoning traces. By scoring these candidates in parallel using a shared context KV cache, SSR eliminates the need for an auxiliary task head and reduces inference cost. Experiments on seven multimodal search benchmarks with 2B and 4B models show that SSR maintains competitive success rates while cutting per‑turn reasoning latency by over 90% and overall inference latency by 28–54%.

V‑Retrver is an evidence‑driven retrieval framework that treats universal multimodal retrieval as an agentic reasoning process grounded in visual inspection. It allows multimodal large language models to selectively acquire visual evidence through external tools, alternating between hypothesis generation and targeted visual verification. The approach is trained with a curriculum that blends supervised activation, rejection‑based refinement, and reinforcement learning, achieving an average 23.0% improvement in retrieval accuracy across multiple benchmarks.

PailitaoGR is a generative image retrieval model that incorporates a latent think-with-images approach to better handle real‑world query images. It uses a target‑focused perception mechanism—comprising a target enhancer and on‑policy distillation—to highlight the search target, and a selective auxiliary‑evidence mechanism—using an auxiliary enhancer and incremental contrastive distillation—to exploit useful side information. Trained on real‑world online image‑search logs, the method achieves an average 13.8 % improvement over existing baselines.
