AWM‑VLA introduces a unified framework that embeds aligned world modeling directly into a diffusion‑transformer vision‑language‑action policy. By adding learnable future tokens aligned with vision‑language embeddings of future observations, the policy can anticipate long‑term consequences while generating actions. The method extends this with an object‑centric alignment objective and a principled weighting scheme, achieving up to 21% higher success rates on RoboCasa and humanoid tabletop benchmarks and producing object‑centric rationales preferred by human raters in 83% of cases.

WAM-Cache is a training‑free framework that reuses layerwise key‑value (KV) representations from a pretrained video Diffusion Transformer (DiT) across control chunks, recomputing only a sparse set of refreshed tokens. By selecting refresh tokens based on the action expert’s cross‑attention, visual latent surprise, and a strict age bound, it reduces DiT prefill FLOPs by 32‑42% on datasets such as RoboTwin 2.0 and LIBERO while maintaining action accuracy within 0.7‑1.8 percentage points of the dense baseline in simulation and 2.5 points on a real robot.

The paper argues that diffusion-based action policies can use a frozen, observation‑free backbone as a reusable trajectory prior, with task adaptation handled entirely by the conditioning pathway. By pretraining a general action head on forward‑kinematics data and then freezing it, the authors show that a single backbone can match or outperform normally trained models on MimicGen and LIBERO. Their experiments reveal that a small 5 M‑parameter MLP backbone can rival large U‑Net and transformer backbones, indicating that action backbones are often over‑parameterized and that image‑style architectures may not be the best fit for low‑dimensional action generation.

EmbodiedSkills is a skill-based agent framework that enhances frozen vision‑language‑action (VLA) policies with world action models for consequence‑aware action selection. It defines reusable skills for observation, context encoding, candidate generation, consequence prediction, outcome evaluation, candidate comparison, and action execution, organized into five stages that support both continuous action chunks and pick‑and‑place primitives. The framework improves success rates on MetaWorld MT50, CLIPort, and CALVIN benchmarks by incorporating outcome predictions and lightweight comparators while keeping the core policy and observation encoders frozen.
