AVC-Reward: Event-Centric Audio-Video Consistency Evaluation

AVC-Reward introduces an event‑centric framework for evaluating audio‑video consistency in joint generation models. It separates audio and visual events, assesses them independently, cross‑validates cross‑modal relations, and aggregates results into a three‑level metric covering global narrative harmony, event‑level synchronization, and fine‑grained attribute alignment. The resulting AVC‑Reward model aligns closely with human judgments, offers interpretable failure localization, and enhances consistency when used as a reinforcement‑learning signal.

AVC-Reward: Event-Centric Audio-Video Consistency Evaluation

AVC-Reward introduces an event‑centric framework for evaluating audio‑video consistency, breaking down scenes into individual audio and visual events and assessing them at three levels: global narrative harmony, event‑level temporal synchronization, and fine‑grained attribute alignment. The metric, instantiated as a trainable reward model, is validated against human judgments using the AVC‑Benchmark, which contains diverse positive and negative samples from various generation models. AVC‑Reward outperforms existing automatic methods, offers interpretable failure localization, and enhances consistency when used as a reinforcement‑learning signal.

AV-GRPO: Modality-Anchored Decoupling Diffusion Reinforcement Learning for Joint Audio-Video Generation

AV‑GRPO introduces a modality‑anchored diffusion reinforcement learning framework for joint audio‑video generation, addressing limitations in fidelity, text‑modality alignment, and cross‑modal synchronization. It decouples learning signals through modality‑anchored rollouts, employs trajectory‑locked frozen‑tower optimization to reduce computational cost, and adapts objectives to each modality’s dynamics. The accompanying 5DAV dataset provides difficulty‑controllable, decoupled training samples, and experiments on JavisBench and VABench show AV‑GRPO surpasses LTX‑2.3 in generation quality, semantic alignment, and synchronization.

TiTok: Audio-Visual LLM for Multi-Segment Temporal Grounding

TiTok is an audio‑visual large language model designed for multi‑segment temporal grounding in untrimmed videos. It introduces Time Token Interleaving (TTI) to align temporal perception with prediction, and uses decoupled reinforcement‑learning rewards (global, local, count, precision, format) optimized via GDPO. Evaluated on a new UnAV‑100 protocol with the CountF1 metric, TiTok achieves state‑of‑the‑art results (65.7 mIoU, 0.58 CountF1).

Do Joint Audio-Video Generation Models Understand Physics?

arXiv:2605. 07061v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Joint audio-video generation models are rapidly approaching professional production quality, raising a central question: do they understand audio-visual physics, or merely generate plausible sounds and frames that violate real-world consistency?

WorldReward: Reward Modeling for Camera-Conditioned World Models

WorldReward introduces a vision‑language model–based reward system for camera‑conditioned world models, combining action consistency and visual quality evaluation. It processes paired videos by splitting them into action‑aligned chunks, structuring visual evidence, and aggregating decisions through voting. The model is trained on a large, reasoning‑augmented preference dataset and outperforms GPT‑5.5 on a human‑annotated benchmark, improving both action execution and visual quality when applied to RL post‑training.

From Visual Cues to Spoken Narration: Rethinking Audio Description

The paper introduces Cue2Narrate, a two‑stage pipeline that jointly predicts what visual events to narrate and when to insert the narration in long, untrimmed movie clips. It uses a dual‑head audio‑visual localizer to identify visual cue and narration windows, followed by a LoRA‑adapted vision‑language model that generates concise audio descriptions, trained with a Description Ranking Loss. The authors also present the LongLSMDC benchmark, comprising up to 8‑minute clips, and show that Cue2Narrate outperforms video‑only and audio‑only baselines by 5–12 points in average mAP and improves AD generation over fine‑tuned base VLMs.
