Mem2Ego introduces a vision‑language model for embodied navigation that combines global memory with egocentric visual inputs. By adaptively retrieving task‑relevant cues from a global memory module and aligning them with local perception, the framework improves spatial reasoning and decision‑making over long horizons. The method outperforms prior state‑of‑the‑art approaches on the HSSD and HM3D benchmarks and shows strong performance on a real robot.

Robots deployed in delivery, campus, and emergency-response settings often need to navigate from buildings to streets within a single continuous episode. Existing benchmarks usually evaluate indoor and outdoor navigation separately, and many abstract away robot execution, leaving exit finding, boundary traversal, adaptation, and kinodynamic failures underexplored.

The paper introduces a ROS-Agent architecture that enhances task reliability and execution efficiency for open‑source LLM‑powered robotic agents. It adds a MetaTool that forces the LLM to produce a structured pseudo‑code plan before any action, storing this plan in a scratchpad to separate planning from execution. Experiments on a custom mobile robot show up to ~24% improvement in complex task completion and contextual consistency compared to the baseline.

The survey "World-Action Models for Robot Learning and Control" reviews recent advances in coupling future world prediction with executable action generation for robots in open environments. It clarifies the scope of World-Action Models (WAMs) relative to conventional world models, model-based RL, and Vision‑Language‑Action policies, and organizes existing methods through a unified taxonomy covering representations, transition modeling, action interfaces, architectures, training pipelines, data modalities, and scaling strategies. The paper also surveys applications in manipulation, navigation, and autonomous driving, summarizes datasets, benchmarks, and metrics, and discusses key challenges such as action alignment, spatial consistency, long‑horizon memory, and efficient inference.
