The paper introduces HALTER, a graph-based system that automates the reset and evaluation of long-horizon robot manipulation tasks. HALTER constructs a spatial scene graph from point clouds and vision models, uses an LLM to score rollouts, plan resets, and verify success, all without labeled success images. In experiments on a Franka arm, HALTER restores scenes in 76% of episodes, improves skill completion estimation, and reduces operator time by 72% compared to manual reset.

World-Coherent Decoding (WCD) is a test-time planning framework for World Action Models (WAMs) that treats rollouts as falsifiable future–action hypotheses. At each decision step, WCD samples multiple candidates from a frozen WAM and ranks them using flow-based video surprisal for visual plausibility and action path effort for generation stability. After execution, the observed outcome audits the chosen imagination, producing a mismatch signal that trains a lightweight online predictor to improve future candidate selection, thereby enhancing reliability without updating the backbone model.

ForeTime‑VLA is a causal vision‑language‑action policy that distills future‑aware representations from a frozen Fast‑WAM teacher, enabling it to anticipate contact events during conveyor‑belt manipulation. The method compresses current and future video latents into a 64‑dimensional target, uses an eight‑frame history encoder to predict this target along with manipulation phase and time‑to‑transition, and conditions a VLM prefix on future tokens and phase. On a deduplicated conveyor‑belt dataset, ForeTime‑VLA reduces test MAE by 2.63% and L2 by 3.02%, while real‑robot experiments show significantly higher grasp success rates compared to the next‑best reference.
whyItMatters":"The approach demonstrates that distilling future‑token knowledge from a world‑action model can improve dynamic manipulation performance without the computational cost of running the teacher at inference time."

The paper introduces FailBank, a four‑stage self‑evolving framework that transforms runtime feedback from safety shields into lasting policy improvements for vision‑language‑action (VLA) models. By using a counterfactual correction teacher, outcome‑aware admission, and guarded LoRA updates, FailBank converts useful shield proposals into corrective targets while preserving successful actions as anchors. Experiments on the VLA‑Arena benchmark show that FailBank boosts task success rates by up to 8.5 percentage points and reduces cumulative policy cost by up to 35.6%, outperforming both base policies and traditional runtime shielding.
