3D-Aware VLMs with Implicit and Explicit Geometries

arXiv:2607. 21595v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Despite rapid progress, most existing vision-language models (VLMs) built from 2D visual inputs often struggle when handling various 3D tasks that require fine-grained spatial understanding and reasoning.

Learning Geometric Representations from Videos for Spatial Intelligent Multimodal Large Language Models

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) excel at 2D semantic understanding but lack intrinsic 3D awareness, resulting in representations that fail to maintain geometric and spatial consistency across video frames. Given the scarcity of large-scale 3D data, we present GeoVR, a novel framework that learns geometric representations using purely 2D video sequences.

ThinkBLOX: 3D Indoor Scene Generation with Progressive Reasoning

While traditional graphics methods often synthesize 3D indoor scenes autoregressively or hierarchically, recent vision-language model (VLM)-based generators predominantly adopt a one-shot paradigm where the full layout is planned at once. This one-shot approach often requires global re-optimization or complete reconstruction during interactive editing (e.

WNM-3D: A World Navigation Model with 3D Scene Conditioning for Closed-Loop VLN

arXiv:2608. 07267v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Recent vision-language navigation (VLN) systems increasingly adapt pretrained vision-language models (VLMs) into vision-language-action (VLA) policies that map egocentric observations and language instructions directly to navigation actions.
