The paper introduces a dual‑stream memory architecture for vision‑language‑action policies, separating a task‑agnostic temporal compressor from a task‑conditioned visual retriever. The temporal compressor uses a Gated DeltaNet to condense history into a single token, while the retriever keeps frames above a relevance threshold and fuses them into spatial tokens. Evaluated on sixteen RoboMME tasks and four real‑robot tasks, the combined model outperforms the FrameSamp+Modul baseline, achieving higher mean success rates and notable gains on tasks requiring execution‑stage discrimination.

Zero-shot cross-task generalization, where a policy must execute manipulation tasks never seen during training, remains a central challenge in robot learning. In large language models, a novel task ca...
CondenseVLA introduces a learnable history‑condensation module that distills short‑term visual context into a fixed set of slot tokens via learnable queries and cross‑attention, reducing redundancy and improving action decoding. The approach achieves notable gains on several robot manipulation benchmarks, raising Simpler‑WidowX success from 58.7% to 69.8%, reaching 97.2% on LIBERO, 52.8% on real‑world tasks, and 21.6% on memory‑dependent RMBench tasks.

The paper introduces MaLoW, a streaming memory framework that internalizes long‑term video history into evolving lightweight parameter updates using a recurrent HyperNetwork and LoRA weights. MaLoW keeps current observations as input while carrying historical context forward without re‑visiting the full video stream. The authors also present MaLoW‑Instruct, a large streaming video dataset, and show that MaLoW outperforms prior memory methods on several benchmarks and improves action success in a vision‑language‑action setting.

The paper introduces Keyframe Mnemonics, a self‑supervised approach that identifies critical observations (mnemonics) to aid behavior cloning in non‑Markovian settings. By training a policy conditioned on these keyframes, the method achieves perfect success rates on synthetic memory tasks and improves performance on a real‑robot manipulation benchmark, maintaining high success even at horizons far beyond training. The approach offers theoretical context‑retention guarantees and practical scalability to long‑horizon decision making.

arXiv:2510. 01483v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Vision-language models (VLMs) demonstrate strong image-level scene understanding, but reasoning over long egocentric video remains costly: because VLMs maintain no persistent memory or explicit spatial representation, all sampled frames must be re-processed for every new query.
