The paper introduces GeoSpatialBench, a benchmark for evaluating spatial reasoning and constrained spatial editing in multimodal large language models. It tests 28 spatial relations across GeoJSON and map image data from six cities, revealing that models perform better on GeoJSON than images and struggle with quantitative metric relations and editing tasks that must satisfy spatial constraints. The study highlights a significant gap between recognizing spatial relations and actively manipulating them in AI systems.

PlanSightRAG is a visual-first multimodal retrieval‑augmented generation system designed to automate question answering and compliance checking of civil standard plans. It processes plan imagery directly, using a ColNomic‑3B multi‑vector retrieval engine, an agentic Planner‑Retriever‑Auditor‑Synthesizer, and MaxSim heatmaps to provide an evidence trail. The system achieves high recall on a new 4,056‑pair benchmark from five state DOTs, and demonstrates near‑perfect verdict accuracy on synthetic compliance drawings when a rule threshold is supplied, outperforming OCR‑based baselines.

Despite rapid advances in generative models, achieving pixel-level precision in sketch-based image editing remains a persistent challenge, particularly for fine-grained local deformations. This gap stems primarily from the critical shortage of high-quality, publicly available benchmark datasets that jointly provide geometric constraints and semantic instructions.
GTPred is a new benchmark for geo‑temporal prediction that evaluates multi‑modal large language models (MLLMs) on 370 images taken across 120 years worldwide. It assesses predictions by matching both the year and a hierarchical location sequence, and includes annotated reasoning chains to test intermediate reasoning. Experiments on 15 MLLMs show that while visual perception is strong, models still lack world knowledge and geo‑temporal reasoning, and that adding temporal data improves location inference.

UniGeo is a multimodal large language model designed for text-guided drone geo‑localization, enabling the identification of target regions in large image galleries from natural‑language descriptions. It integrates geo‑semantic understanding, cross‑view semantic generation, and candidate‑level verification within a shared vision‑language framework, establishing stable correspondences among local scene elements, spatial relations, and language. A multi‑stage training strategy progressively refines geo‑semantic learning, cross‑view mapping, and fine‑grained verification, yielding significant performance gains on GeoText‑1652, with R@10 and mAP improvements of 13.59 and 2.83 percentage points respectively.

LangMap introduces a human‑verified benchmark for language‑conditioned goal navigation (LGN) that spans four hierarchical semantic levels—scene, room, region, and instance—within real‑world indoor 3D scans. The dataset, built on HM3D, contains 18K tasks with concise and detailed descriptions for 414 object categories, and its contrastive annotation protocol ensures high‑quality, discriminative region and instance labels. Evaluation shows that LangMap’s descriptions improve text‑to‑view matching accuracy by 23 points over GOAT‑Bench and achieve a 92.5% unique‑and‑correct match rate in an independent human audit, while a proposed RGB‑only baseline, PlaNaVid, attains top‑tier success rates without depth or 3D scene representations.
