Multimodal Requirements Traceability Link Recovery in Industrial Settings

Read the original on arXiv AI →

The paper extends a retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) method to recover traceability links between industrial requirements that include both text and images. By retrieving text and image candidates separately, classifying each pair with a vision‑language model, and filtering links by verbalized confidence, the approach improves F1 scores on industrial datasets (0.310 vs. 0.114 for a baseline) while maintaining performance on public text‑only datasets. The study highlights that cross‑modal retrieval remains a bottleneck and that confidence filtering can trade precision for recall.

WeAgent-MMSearch: Native Text-Vision Interaction for Multimodal Search Agents

WeAgent-MMSearch introduces a multimodal search agent that preserves retrieved images as persistent references, enabling the model to inspect, process, and cite them throughout a search trajectory. The system includes a harness (WeAgent-Harness), a post‑training method (FA‑GSPO) that recovers salvageable rollouts, and a new benchmark (VisTarget‑Bench) to evaluate image‑retrieval versus visual‑perception failures. Evaluation shows that agentic post‑training boosts performance by 19.22 points, allowing the model to outperform similarly sized open‑source models and compete with much larger ones.

MKG-RAG-Bench: Benchmarking Retrieval in Multimodal Knowledge Graph-Augmented Generation

arXiv:2606. 26458v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over knowledge graphs has emerged as a promising approach for grounding large language models, yet existing benchmarks largely overlook the challenges of retrieval in multimodal knowledge graph RAG (MKG-RAG).
