Accurate and efficient reconstruction of cloud-contaminated and noise-corrupted NDVI time series remains a challenge in remote sensing. Deep learning provides a promising solution for modeling complex spatiotemporal dependencies; however, its application is often limited by the difficulty of obtaining paired clear-sky and degraded NDVI data for identical spatiotemporal locations.
The study presents a spatially aware deep learning framework that retrieves all‑sky tropospheric temperature and humidity profiles from the Meteosat Third Generation Flexible Combined Imager (FCI) without relying on numerical weather prediction background fields. Using a Residual U‑Net trained on 14 months of collocated FCI observations and CERRA reanalysis data, the model achieves temperature biases below 0.4 K and relative humidity standard deviations between 12–20 %, with modest performance degradation under cloud cover. Ablation and feature‑sensitivity analyses confirm that incorporating spatial context across all 16 FCI channels, including visible and near‑infrared bands, improves retrieval accuracy, especially beneath cloud tops.
DPSF-Net is a dual‑prior spatial‑frequency network designed for real‑world remote sensing image dehazing. It combines hazy RGB images with dark channel prior maps as joint inputs, and incorporates a spatial‑frequency residual interaction block, a prior‑guided feature attention module, and a selective kernel complementary fusion module to reduce colour shift, structural distortion, and large‑scale haze. Experiments show that DPSF-Net achieves state‑of‑the‑art performance on the RRSHID benchmark while maintaining a favorable balance of restoration quality, parameter count, and computational complexity.
arXiv:2607. 23024v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: High-resolution satellite imagery is the backbone of good land-cover classification, and without that, environmental monitoring, urban planning, and sustainable resource management all fall short.
arXiv:2605. 00310v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Super-resolution (SR) techniques have made major advances in reconstructing high-resolution images from low-resolution inputs.
arXiv:2606. 08563v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: While global data-driven models excel at predicting continuous atmospheric variables, three-dimensional hydrometeor forecasting remains challenging due to the zero-inflated, long-tailed distributions of these variables.
