Agent-Environment Alignment via Automated Interface Generation

Read the original on arXiv AI →

The paper introduces ALIGN, a lightweight framework that automatically generates enriched interfaces to reduce agent‑environment misalignment in large language model agents. By augmenting static environment information and step‑wise observations, ALIGN improves performance across diverse tasks such as embodied navigation, web browsing, and tool use, achieving up to a 45.67% success rate increase in ALFWorld. The method works without altering agent logic or environment code and generalizes across different agent architectures and LLM backbones.

AgentAbstain: Do LLM Agents Know When Not to Act?

arXiv:2607. 10059v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Agent systems based on large language models (LLMs) are increasingly deployed for autonomous tasks, yet existing evaluations mostly focus on task success rather than whether agents know when to abstain.

EnvHarness: Awakening Static Worlds for Agent Learning

arXiv:2608. 19880v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: LLM agents learn by interacting with environments, yet these environments are hand-built and static: blind to an agent's weaknesses, and quickly left behind as it improves.

Agent-Editing World Model: Rethinking World Modeling for LLM Agents

The paper introduces the Agent-Editing World Model (AEWM), a new approach that models how reasoning and actions influence future task progress instead of simulating tool responses. AEWM includes an Action Judge that classifies decisions as Critical, Exploratory, or Noisy, and a State Revision mechanism that edits noisy reasoning–action continuations from the same observed history. The integrated system, EditAct, directly updates the underlying state during real execution, leading to significant performance gains across multiple benchmarks and agent backbones.
