SVG-Score introduces a human‑aligned evaluation framework for text‑to‑SVG generation, addressing the shortcomings of existing image‑based metrics like CLIPScore that poorly capture SVG‑specific errors such as color, count, and spatial inaccuracies. The authors first demonstrate that CLIP‑based scores are largely insensitive to these errors and that generic Vision‑Language Models respond inconsistently across error types and styles. They then present a human‑annotated Semantic Alignment dataset and develop two complementary evaluators: a CLIP‑based scorer adapted to vector graphics and a VLM judge refined through supervised fine‑tuning and reward‑shaped reinforcement learning, enabling both fast large‑scale and expressive, interpretable assessment of SVG generators.

The authors first demonstrate that CLIP‑based scores are largely insensitive to these errors and that off‑the‑shelf Vision‑Language Models respond unevenly across error types and styles. They then create a human‑annotated Semantic Alignment dataset and develop two evaluators: a CLIP scorer adapted to vector graphics and a VLM judge trained with supervised fine‑tuning and reinforcement learning, enabling both fast large‑scale and expressive, interpretable assessment of SVG generators.

Multimodal Language Models as Text-to-Image Model Evaluators presents MT2IE, a framework where a multimodal large language model generates evaluation prompts and scores images, achieving higher correlation with human judgment than prior metrics. MT2IE recovers official T2I model rankings using only 20 prompts—far fewer than traditional benchmarks—and adapts prompts to each model’s performance, maintaining informative scoring ranges. The approach demonstrates that dynamic, interactive evaluation can replace static benchmarks as T2I models improve.

VTR-Bench is a new benchmark designed to evaluate how well video generation models render text within scenes. It includes 300 prompts across five real-world scenarios such as advertisements and scientific videos, and uses an automated pipeline with human alignment to assess text fidelity and scene/motion requirements. Experiments on 11 state‑of‑the‑art models show that even the best performer has a word error rate of 0.250, underscoring widespread challenges in visual text rendering.

TextVBench is a new benchmark and evaluation framework for assessing how well video generation models render and preserve text. It introduces two tracks—TextVBench‑T2V for prompt‑specified text creation and maintenance, and TextVBench‑Ref2V for preserving text from reference images—using a multi‑target, multi‑instance spatiotemporal correspondence approach. The framework employs target‑conditioned candidate selection, supports multiple OCR regions per target, and separates spatial and temporal fidelity, summarizing results with a length‑weighted harmonic score and detailed diagnostics.

Imag‑Eval is a new language‑grounded benchmark for evaluating Text‑to‑Image models, focusing on how well they follow compositional natural‑language instructions. It disentangles prompt length from compositional difficulty by independently varying the number of instances and the combination of constraints (rules), providing 1,140 prompts and 8,842 rule combinations. The study shows that for structured skills, the difficulty is mainly driven by the number of grounded rules and their binding to instances rather than prompt length alone.
