The paper revisits pixel-space diffusion models, showing that a vanilla diffusion transformer can generate directly in pixel space by swapping velocity prediction for clean image prediction. It introduces MFlow, an adaptive parameterization that interpolates between these two prediction modes based on data representation and model capacity, and demonstrates competitive performance on ImageNet, UCF‑101, and text‑to‑image tasks. Additionally, the authors add ConvRefiner, a lightweight convolutional module trained post‑hoc to restore high‑frequency details while preserving FID.

Concept Acupuncturist (ConceptACP) is a machine‑unlearning framework that removes targeted concepts from diffusion models efficiently and precisely. It identifies the most relevant cross‑attention block in the U‑Net denoiser, fine‑tunes only that block, and uses Sparse Autoencoders to generate semantically meaningful correction signals for concept erasure. Applied to SDXL‑Turbo, ConceptACP boosts forgetting success by over 36 percentage points while maintaining image quality and prompt fidelity, and works across other Stable Diffusion backbones.

EraseSAE introduces a surgical concept erasure method for text-to-video diffusion models, using sparse autoencoders to decompose activations into interpretable, monosemantic features. The framework employs a contrastive attribution mechanism to isolate concept-specific kernels and applies timestep-resolved masks during inference to remove target concepts while preserving unrelated content. Experiments show that EraseSAE achieves precise, robust concept removal with minimal quality loss, outperforming existing methods.

ORCA (Orthogonal Residual Compositional Alignment) is a method that improves text-to-image diffusion models by aligning the diffusion transformer’s latent space with a low‑rank target derived from a frozen visual encoder. It introduces an auxiliary loss that uses a predictor with an orthogonal basis parameterised by a learned residual between T5 and CLIP embeddings, providing a prompt‑dependent signal for selecting the visual readout subspace. Experiments on three diffusion‑transformer backbones show that ORCA improves FID and GenEval scores, especially on attribute binding, spatial relations, and multi‑object prompts, without adding inference‑time cost.

Unified image restoration (UIR) aims to recover high-quality (HQ) content from low-quality (LQ) images with different degradations using a single model. Most recent methods adapt large pretrained text-to-image (T2I) latent diffusion models for their strong capacity and generative priors.
The paper introduces Dynamics-aware Token Merging (DaTMe), a training‑free method that accelerates diffusion models by selectively merging tokens based on diffusion dynamics. DaTMe builds an importance map from the Tweedie denoised estimate, combining temporal changes and structural high‑frequency content to decide which tokens to preserve and which to merge. Experiments on PixArt-a and FLUX show that DaTMe maintains visual fidelity across the entire image while reducing token computation.
