Aitchison Embeddings for Learning Compositional Graph Representations

The paper introduces a compositional graph embedding framework based on Aitchison geometry, where nodes are represented as simplex-valued mixtures over latent archetypal factors. By embedding these mixtures using isometric log-ratio coordinates, the method preserves Aitchison distances while allowing unconstrained optimization in Euclidean space, yielding intrinsically interpretable embeddings. The approach achieves competitive performance on node classification and link prediction tasks and enables principled component restriction through subcompositional coherence, allowing analysis of how archetype groups influence representations and predictions.

Lost in Tokenization: Fundamental Trade-offs in Graph Tokenization for Transformers

The paper investigates how the choice of graph tokenization affects transformer expressivity. It analyzes three tokenization families—spectral, random‑walk, and adjacency—showing that each induces different depth requirements and that some tokenizations are inherently lossy or ill‑conditioned for certain tasks. The authors prove lower bounds and impossibility results for converting between tokenizations and validate these findings with experiments on synthetic and real‑world data.

SCGFM-ART: Amortized Relational Transport for Structure-Centric Graph Foundation Models

SCGFM-ART is a structure‑centric graph foundation model that aligns arbitrary graphs onto a shared relational atlas using Amortized Relational Transport (ART). The atlas, defined by a finite set of relational landmarks, provides a universal coordinate system, while ART predicts end‑to‑end graph‑to‑base transport plans, eliminating costly runtime Gromov‑Wasserstein optimizations. The framework decomposes graphs into global relational response coordinates and local node‑to‑role structural correspondences, enabling unified representations that resolve structural and semantic heterogeneity across diverse graph domains.

Riemannian-Manifold Steering: Geometry-Aware Generative Autoencoders for Label-Free Steering

arXiv:2605. 24942v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Steering a language model - intervening on its internal activations to change downstream behaviour - has recently expanded beyond linear interpolation to nonlinear methods such as angular and kernelized steering, which define intervention transformations without learning an explicit geometry over paths in activation space.

Sheaf Neural Networks on SPD Manifolds: Second-Order Geometric Representation Learning

arXiv:2604. 20308v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Graph neural networks face two fundamental challenges rooted in the linear structure of Euclidean vector spaces: (1) Current architectures represent geometry through vectors (directions, gradients), yet many tasks require matrix-valued representations that capture relationships between directions-such as how atomic orientations covary in a molecule.
