The paper introduces GMoE-FTI, a universal facial template inversion framework that uses a genuine mixture‑of‑experts mechanism to reconstruct faces from various template types. It trains five mapping experts and a matching module, then combines their outputs during inference and fine‑tunes all components jointly, achieving superior performance on the LFW benchmark. Evaluations on seven unseen template types show a 40% improvement in true accept rate and reductions in false accept rates, demonstrating its broad applicability.

Low-quality face recognition (LQFR) remains challenging due to the difficulty of matching degraded query (probe) images against low-quality (LQ) enrollment (gallery) imagery and the scarcity of traini...
The paper introduces the Visage Face dataset, containing 16,234 face samples captured in varied classroom conditions such as different angles, lighting, expressions, and partial occlusions. Using a YOLO-based detector, the authors evaluate seven state‑of‑the‑art face recognition models across thirteen configurations, finding that FaceLiVTv2‑M achieves the highest performance with 99.75% Top‑1/Top‑5 accuracy and a 6.459 ms inference time. These findings demonstrate that the Visage Face dataset provides a realistic and challenging benchmark for classroom attendance systems.

arXiv:2608. 08521v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Face recognition systems face two distinct, commonly-separated failure modes: spoofing, where an impostor presents a photograph or video of an authorized user, and disguise, where a legitimate user is rejected because their appearance differs from their enrolled template due to accessories, facial hair, illumination, or pose.

License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems are critical tools in traffic monitoring, security enforcement, and urban mobility management. Traditional LPR systems often rely on a multi-stage pipeline involving object detection using You Only Look Once (YOLO) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which suffer from limitations such as high resource demands, poor performance in unstructured environments, and the need for large annotated datasets.
