Operator Boosting Produces Pareto-Efficient PDE Surrogates

arXiv:2606. 17460v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Neural operators are widely used as surrogate solution maps for partial differential equations (PDEs), but full-size models can be costly to store, deploy, and evaluate in many-query scientific workflows.

Error-Conditioned Neural Solvers

arXiv:2606. 27354v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Neural surrogate models offer fast approximate mappings from PDE parameters to solutions, but they typically treat solving as a purely statistical task: once trained, they struggle to correct their own constraint violations and extrapolate beyond the training distribution.

Sensitivity-Constrained Neural Operators for Data-Efficient Forward and Inverse Modeling of Partial Differential Equation Systems

The paper introduces Sensitivity‑Constrained Neural Operators (SC‑NOs), which augment standard neural operator training with sampled Jacobian supervision from differentiable solvers or discrete adjoints. By matching selected sensitivities during training, SC‑NOs improve forward prediction accuracy and significantly enhance gradient‑based inverse reconstruction for distributed fields. Experiments on advection–diffusion, RANS–Spalart–Allmaras, high‑dimensional gridded inputs, and a shallow‑water tsunami source‑inversion case demonstrate that SC‑NOs achieve a better accuracy–cost trade‑off and enable near‑real‑time wave‑propagation forecasting from sparse observations.

Multi-stage neural operator learning with application for convolutions

The paper introduces two multi-stage neural operator learning frameworks—Deep Collocation Neural Operator (DCNO) and Deep Galerkin Neural Operator (DGNO)—for efficiently computing convolution integrals. DCNO is a supervised method that iteratively refines operator approximations by learning residuals from data pairs, while DGNO is an unsupervised approach that uses the weak form of a PDE residual when the operator can be represented by a PDE. Both frameworks build basis operators across multiple training stages, yielding markedly higher accuracy than one-shot learning and achieving near machine‑precision results for convolution problems, with significant efficiency gains for repeated queries or parametric variations.

arXiv:2606. 24999v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: High-dimensional partial differential equations (PDEs) with unknown coefficients arise widely in scientific machine learning, including continuous-time reinforcement learning, yet solving them efficiently in a data-driven way remains challenging.

On the training of physics-informed neural operators for solving parametric partial differential equations

arXiv:2606. 06164v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Physics-informed neural operators (PINOs) aim to learn solution operators for partial differential equations by using the governing physics as supervision, rather than relying solely on paired input-output simulation data.
