Accurate coronary Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) vessel segmentation is essential for computer-aided diagnosis and treatment planning of coronary artery disease (CAD). However, thin low-contrast vessels, background interference, and severe vessel-background class imbalance make reliable segmentation of weak distal branches and vessel boundaries challenging.

ReG-SAM is a SAM-based framework designed for 2D vessel segmentation in medical images. It introduces reference graph prompt embeddings (GPEs) and vascular prototype embeddings (VPEs) to capture global spatial and fine-grained modality-specific vessel features, respectively. By building a modality-wise vascular database and learning these embeddings from reference masks, ReG-SAM consistently outperforms existing baselines across 19 datasets, especially on thin vessels.

MCP‑Net is a real‑time multi‑task network designed for robotic coronary guidewire navigation. It jointly segments coronary vessels, localizes the guidewire tip, and identifies stenosis from a single fluoroscopic frame, then converts these predictions into a structured vascular graph with centerlines, bifurcations, endpoints, branch directions, and angles. Using simulated fluoroscopy derived from 3D CT angiography, the framework generates a roadmap from the graph root to the target lesion, enabling interpretable downstream robotic navigation.
