DuplexBridge: Coordinating Understanding and Generation for Unified Image Editing

DuplexBridge is a unified image‑editing model that coordinates its own understanding and generation capabilities without relying on an external module. It uses a source‑grounded bridge to specify editing targets, final‑state changes, and preservation constraints, and employs reciprocal trust checks to selectively share global task feedback while maintaining independent local supervision. The system, evaluated on the new CE‑Bench and other benchmarks, achieves 21.75–25.75 percentage points higher complete compliance than direct editors and demonstrates the effectiveness of distinct local responsibilities with selective shared feedback.

MT-EditFlow: Reinforcement Learning for Multi-Turn Image Editing with Flow Matching

Recent breakthroughs in instruction-based image editing have captured significant attention, as models are now capable of handling real-world editing demands with the practicality required by everyday users. However, editing models trained primarily for single-turn edits often break down in multi-turn editing--the natural interactive setting where a user iteratively refines an image based on the model's own previous outputs.

PrismGPT: Proxy-Guided Learning for Region-Aware Photo Editing with Self-Synthesized Reasoning

PrismGPT is a Vision‑Language Model that generates structured, region‑aware photo‑editing plans from a single image, without relying on commercial black‑box tools. It learns to diagnose aesthetic issues globally and locally while predicting precise editing parameters, using proxy‑guided learning with operation decomposition and region‑aware aesthetic ranking to bootstrap the model. A competence‑based dynamic scheduler shifts training focus from proxy tasks to the main editing task as skills improve, and all reasoning traces for fine‑tuning are self‑synthesized by the model itself. Experiments on MIT‑Adobe FiveK and a new professionally retouched benchmark, SPIRE, show PrismGPT achieves state‑of‑the‑art results using only about 6% of the training data required by previous methods.

VINCIE-NExT: Unlocking Video Editing from Images via In-Context Modeling

VINCIE‑NExT is a unified framework that transfers image editing capabilities to video editing by using in‑context visual demonstrations. It decomposes video editing into a chain of sub‑tasks (Video → Image → Image → Video), routing editing intent through the image domain and enabling joint training from heterogeneous image and video data under a single diffusion objective. The method introduces a novel position encoding to link image demonstrations and video frames, allowing pixel‑faithful appearance propagation, and supports test‑time scaling through progressive diffusion stages.

MTEdit: Packed Trajectories Beat Rollouts for Multi-Turn Image Editing

MTEdit is a new multi‑turn image editing dataset that uses packed trajectory canvas (PTC) generation to create 500K editing trajectories, each up to eight turns with an average of 5.38 turns. The dataset addresses visual‑quality drift by jointly generating multiple editing states within a unified visual context, covering both step‑wise and context‑aware editing scenarios. MTEdit-Bench evaluates models on instruction following, content consistency, visual‑quality drift resistance, and historical context usage, and fine‑tuned Qwen‑Image‑MTEdit outperforms other open‑source models on this benchmark.
