arXiv:2510. 01483v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Vision-language models (VLMs) demonstrate strong image-level scene understanding, but reasoning over long egocentric video remains costly: because VLMs maintain no persistent memory or explicit spatial representation, all sampled frames must be re-processed for every new query.

DGSG-Mind introduces a hybrid instance-aware 3D Gaussian dynamic scene graph system that integrates open‑vocabulary semantic information into dynamic 3D scene representations. By coupling a probabilistic voxel grid with explicit 3D Gaussians, it achieves robust cross‑modal instance fusion, incremental semantic mapping, and dynamic change handling through Gaussian‑based relocalization and masked refinement. The system builds a hierarchical scene graph and a 3D Gaussian Mind for multimodal reasoning, achieving state‑of‑the‑art zero‑shot 3D visual grounding and strong performance in open‑vocabulary semantic segmentation and scene reconstruction, and is demonstrated on real‑world robots.

The paper introduces IG‑VLA, a vision‑language‑action framework that learns to imagine task‑relevant future scene evolution in a latent spatiotemporal space, guiding action prediction without generating full pixel‑level videos. It further compresses this future reasoning into a compact Scene Gist Token via Scene Gist Memory, enabling efficient inference. Experiments on LIBERO, LIBERO‑Plus, and VLABench show that IG‑VLA improves success rates by nearly 6% and speeds up inference up to 6.38× compared to strong baselines.

Open vocabulary 3D scene understanding is essential for next-generation interactive systems, empowering users to intuitively query and navigate reconstructed environments using natural language. However, current 3D Gaussian frameworks are often bottlenecked by restrictive multiview capture requirements, costly scene-specific optimization, and the massive memory overhead of storing dense language features.
The paper introduces 4DMemory, a benchmark for long‑horizon spatiotemporal memory that includes the LongVideo dataset—about 900 hours of video with over 5,000 manually reviewed questions—and the 4DMemoryBench. It also presents the 4DMemory Harness, a system that combines four complementary skills, more than 22 specialized tool models, and a retrieval‑augmented generation component. Evaluation of 13 leading models shows that standalone foundation models perform poorly on long‑horizon tasks, while the 4DMemory Harness boosts performance by over 50% and reveals a performance drop of more than 10% compared to previous benchmarks.
