GLOW-FM: Efficient Generative Low-Light Image Enhancement with One-Step Latent Flow Matching

GLOW-FM is a one‑step latent flow‑matching framework designed for efficient generative low‑light image enhancement (LLIE). It operates in the latent space of a frozen Tiny‑VAE, using Terminal Velocity Matching (TVM) to achieve high‑quality enhancement with a single function evaluation. Experiments on real‑world benchmarks show competitive image quality, strong cross‑dataset generalization, and low computational cost (34 GFLOPs for the small variant).

Flow Straight to Reality: Perceptually Consistent Flow Matching for Efficient Image Restoration

arXiv:2608. 10544v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Image restoration is fundamentally constrained by the tradeoff between distortion and perception: minimizing pixel-wise error yields over-smoothed results, whereas optimizing for perceptual realism often introduces structural deviations.

Consist-Retinex: One-Step Noise-Emphasized Consistency Training Accelerates High-Quality Retinex Enhancement

Consist‑Retinex introduces a one‑step noise‑emphasized consistency training framework for Retinex‑based low‑light image enhancement. It first decomposes images into reflectance and illumination maps using a Retinex Transformer Decomposition Network, then trains two conditional consistency models with a dual objective that blends trajectory consistency and ground‑truth alignment. The method employs adaptive noise‑emphasized fixed‑point sampling to focus supervision near the inference endpoint, achieving state‑of‑the‑art VE‑LOL‑L scores on paired and unpaired low‑light benchmarks while reducing sampling and training costs.

Energy-Guided Flow Matching

Pixel-space generative models bypass lossy latent compression, yet necessitate joint learning of global structure and fine-grained details in a high-dimensional space. Standard flow matching interpolates noise toward a fixed clean-image endpoint, leaving the spectral evolution to be learned implicitly.

Efficient One-Step Diffusion Restoration Model with Compact Token Compression and Linear Attention

The paper introduces SANA‑SR, an efficient one‑step diffusion restoration framework for real‑world image super‑resolution. It uses a deep compression autoencoder to reduce latent tokens by a 32× ratio, preserving essential structures and textures, and applies a linear‑attention DiT with LoRA fine‑tuning for linear‑complexity token mixing. Experiments show competitive or superior performance on benchmark datasets, and the pruned model runs in 0.019 s with 407.95 G MACs and 344 M parameters, indicating strong potential for mobile deployment.

Rethinking the design space of Vanilla Pixel Diffusion Transformers

The paper revisits pixel-space diffusion models, showing that a vanilla diffusion transformer can generate directly in pixel space by swapping velocity prediction for clean image prediction. It introduces MFlow, an adaptive parameterization that interpolates between these two prediction modes based on data representation and model capacity, and demonstrates competitive performance on ImageNet, UCF‑101, and text‑to‑image tasks. Additionally, the authors add ConvRefiner, a lightweight convolutional module trained post‑hoc to restore high‑frequency details while preserving FID.

IDM-Net: A Lightweight Illumination-Decoupled Modulation Network for Low-Light Image Enhancement

IDM-Net is a lightweight Illumination-Decoupled Modulation Network designed for low-light image enhancement. It uses a dual-encoder architecture: a structure encoder extracts multi-scale appearance features from the RGB image, while a lightweight illumination encoder learns illumination priors from the decoupled luminance channel. An Illumination-Guided Modulation module injects these priors into the decoder via spatially adaptive affine modulation, and a Feature Refinement Block progressively suppresses artifacts and recovers fine details, achieving competitive performance on standard benchmarks with good balance between quality and efficiency.
