Learning Representations to Guide Pixel Diffusion Transformers

The paper investigates how visual representations contribute to pixel diffusion transformers and finds that higher representation quality does not always improve generative performance, and that separating architecture into specialized decoders mainly redistributes modeling rather than enhancing generative suitability. Based on these findings, the authors propose Representation Guidance (RG), a method that compacts generation-relevant information into a low-dimensional bottleneck and explicitly uses it to steer decoder generation. RG achieves state‑of‑the‑art results on ImageNet 256×256 with fewer parameters, scales efficiently, and extends to text‑to‑image tasks with strong benchmark performance.

Rethinking the design space of Vanilla Pixel Diffusion Transformers

The paper revisits pixel-space diffusion models, showing that a vanilla diffusion transformer can generate directly in pixel space by swapping velocity prediction for clean image prediction. It introduces MFlow, an adaptive parameterization that interpolates between these two prediction modes based on data representation and model capacity, and demonstrates competitive performance on ImageNet, UCF‑101, and text‑to‑image tasks. Additionally, the authors add ConvRefiner, a lightweight convolutional module trained post‑hoc to restore high‑frequency details while preserving FID.

Unified Text-Image Generation with Weakness-Targeted Post-Training

The paper introduces a post‑training approach that enables a single inference process to transition from text reasoning to image synthesis, eliminating the need for explicit modality switching. Using the 14B BAGEL model, the authors demonstrate that targeted post‑training data and reward‑weighted training improve multimodal image generation across four independent T2I benchmarks. The study highlights the benefits of joint text‑image generation and strategic data selection for enhancing T2I performance.

Noise-Started One-Step Real-World Super-Resolution via LR-Conditioned SplitMeanFlow and GAN Refinement

The paper introduces SMFSR, a one‑step real‑world super‑resolution framework that retains the noise‑started generation of diffusion models while conditioning on low‑resolution images. It uses LR‑conditioned SplitMeanFlow with Interval Splitting Consistency to collapse a multi‑step trajectory into a single average‑velocity prediction, and adds a GAN refinement stage with a DINOv3 discriminator and variational score distillation to enhance texture realism. Experiments show SMFSR achieves state‑of‑the‑art perceptual quality among one‑step diffusion‑based methods while maintaining fast inference.
