HyperBones: Realtime Bone-driven Neural Garment Simulation with Hypernetwork Conditioning

The paper introduces HyperBones, a real‑time garment simulation framework that combines a reduced‑space neural dynamics simulator with a lightweight neural network correcting Linear Blend Skinning (LBS) at a coarse level, and a convolutional MLP for fine‑scale wrinkle recovery in UV space. By decoupling identity‑specific computation from shape conditioning through a hypernetwork, the method achieves high performance without an offline simulator, delivering physically plausible dynamics across diverse motions and unseen body shapes. Experiments demonstrate a speedup of over 30× compared to state‑of‑the‑art autoregressive neural simulators, reaching interactive inference at roughly 1 ms per frame on a consumer GPU.

TRACE: Spatiotemporal Contact Memory Graph Network Simulator for Granular Dynamics

TRACE is a graph‑network simulator that stores granular contact history on edges using attention‑based message passing and a gated recurrent unit, with an edge‑identity dictionary to preserve memory as contacts change. It predicts normal and tangential forces while enforcing Coulomb friction and internal force balance, and is trained via single‑step pretraining followed by autoregressive fine‑tuning. On 2D and 3D granular column‑collapse benchmarks, TRACE achieves significantly lower long‑rollout position and deposit errors than existing simulators, uses fewer parameters, maintains near‑zero particle interpenetration, and outperforms the material point method by 12.2× (2D) and 8.9× (3D).

Learning coarse-step dynamics and internal mechanical response with graph networks

The paper introduces Newmark‑eta‑DGN, a graph neural network framework that learns coarse‑step dynamics and internal mechanical responses from discretely sampled trajectories. It combines a semi‑implicit update inspired by the Newmark‑eta method with an operator‑weighted virtual hub to capture system‑wide coupling. The model can predict long‑horizon motion and infer unobserved forces and stiffness operators across deformable beams, human gait, and protein dynamics without explicit supervision on mechanical quantities.

HydroShear: Hydroelastic Shear Simulation for Tactile Sim-to-Real Reinforcement Learning

HydroShear is a hydroelastic tactile simulator that models stick‑slip transitions, path‑dependent force and shear buildup, and full SE(3) object‑sensor interactions. It uses Signed Distance Functions to track indenter displacements on a sensor membrane, producing physics‑based force fields from arbitrary watertight geometries while remaining engine‑agnostic. Experiments on GelSight Minis show HydroShear reproduces real tactile shear more faithfully than existing methods, enabling zero‑shot sim‑to‑real reinforcement learning with a 93% success rate across four dexterous tasks.
